Fantastic , superb , awesome - there just doesn't seem to be the right word to describe the weekend.................What a feat you guys pulled off..........again Thank You doesn't seem to be enough.............sat here thinking back and just getting goose bumps still. I hope someone puts you guys forward for some sort of award for this but to me even a knighthood wouldn't be enough for what you guys did.

A huge well done to Grant, Imy and Andy. There are so many words to describe the weekend and what you achieved.

To organise such an event, the preparation, the logistics of the convoy and arranging the mosaic was an immense achievement.

It was a truly amazing and fantastic weekend and a massive thank you goes out to all three of you, together with the rest of the helpers on the day, for organising such an event that we could be part of.

The weekend will live in the memories of all of us for a very long time to come.

Cheers

now that I've unwound from the weekend, actually from the past 8 months, I would like to add my thanks to everyone that came along and did what they were told.

I went through so many moods and emotions over the weekend and felt battered from everything that I'd seen and heard.

I was saying to Grant that all the mini meets, local runs, organised scottish runs we have done in the past were preparation to bring us to this level of convoying action.

I am especially proud of the way Scottish Scoobies drove in convoy, behaved on the road and generally helped us out,

be it via text messages of what was happening where they were (we were up front so didnt know what was happening 5, 10, 15, 20 miles behind us) and also those volunteers that pulled on high vis vests to help marshal.

yes there were chaotic moments but what kep me going was the words of encouragement and the big hugs that I got from you guys during the weekend.

Grant and I headed home on Monday evening and decided that the last fuel stop will be Abingdon (and btw isnt the new "Welcome to Scotland" sign so much better than the brown thing that was there before?).

we were tired, drained and just wanted to get home.

The 2 petrol station ladies asked if we had anything to do with the McRae thing and I was like um yes, we're the organisers.

they then launched into a big story about how they saw us on the road on Saturday, what an amazing sight that was and how a lot of cars came by on Sunday evening to fuel up.

I was guessing that they were talking about you lot heading back up the road and its nice to know that you travelled home in a group.

that gave us a lease of life for the last leg of the journey and it was brilliant to hear that you were all still in high spirits.

thank you.
