Frank_STI Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Great pics mate, was a shame about the rain Can't believe how nuts these guys are, the guy in the Silver Ax was off his rocker!
st3ph3n Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Were you up yesterday Frank? Didn't spot you if you were, not that I have ANY idea what you look like. The silver/grey AX is driven by a guy who posts on here. He drives it pretty damn quickly up that hill. Good photos Scott. I'll get through mine over the next few nights I hope. Got some real good ones though after a quick pass through. Standing on top of east brae and getting a pan of them coming round the meadow was a good place. Couple of quite moody ones in the tunnel too. Had to crank up the ISO to get the lighting right in there but it makes the brighter cars quite punchy looking.
Frank_STI Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Yeah I was there, but left the scoob at home, it would have never made it in or out of that field, too low lol. Fair about of subarus in the car/field park. He was seriously fast, and so were a few of the others, especailly in the wet
Chris_k Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Great pics mate, was a shame about the rainCan't believe how nuts these guys are, the guy in the Silver Ax was off his rocker! that would be me then would you believe i was trying to sell it haha! my last wet run on sunday was ace! especially coming round the left at oaktree! unfortunately i broke an engine mount so my gear selection was a bit messed up! i pulled 5th at the top of east brae knackered my run! but thanks for the comment my mate has my oak tree pass on video, car sounds nice in 4th @ 7k!

st3ph3n Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 You looked like you were trying pretty hard to me too John. I must pop over and say hello in the paddock one of these days too.
fiestajohn Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 You looked like you were trying pretty hard to me too John. I was I just couldn't get near the times Chris (AX) was doing I must pop over and say hello in the paddock one of these days too. Ive seen you about but I thought I must have upset you, cos you never say hello
st3ph3n Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 It always surprises me how fast the wee cars like the AX and the fiesta are going compared to the se7en clones. Does the tin top + roll cage give a wee bit more confidence at a place like Doune? I've got some shots up now - http://flickr.com/photos/st3ph3n/sets/72157605794867912/ - Saturday only at the moment with a few more uploading in a few minutes. Still got 695 to go through from Sunday!
fiestajohn Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Does the tin top + roll cage give a wee bit more confidence at a place like Doune? I have only driven Fiestas with cages up Doune so I cant really say, but I wouldnt have liked to do this in a open car

Kenny.S Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Good photos as usual st3ph3n (Remember to post the link on Flatchat) Some people should recognize this car Looks vaguely familiar
JohnSt Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Looks vaguely familiar You can't even see the rust from that distance
st3ph3n Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 http://www.flickr.com/photos/st3ph3n/sets/72157605794867912/ Updated with a lot of pictures from Sunday. Got another wee set taken in the Tunnel half way through thte day that need a bit of work done on them which I may or may not upload depending on how they turn out. Most pleased with the ones towards the end which were taken on the second competition run on the Sunday. Got utterly drenched during a particular rain shower but after seeing how they turned out it was 100% worth it.
