Jimmy Mc Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Not sweet Jim Dude. But I tell you what is sweet, new Benelli TNT 1130. Took on for a lap of the course yesterday. Awesome. Well, it was until it started raining
dooahhdoo Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 ROFL@ the edit Jimmy dude. You must have done the same as me PMSL. sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet And den?
Cret Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Bah! Totally not sweet dudes. Car is overheating like the clappers and p1ssing water out somewhere when it gets up to temperature. Got a fegging puncture too at the same time! I love the way these things kick you in the wallet whilst you're in the process of buying goodies and parts to sort them out! Not sure where the water is coming from yet but the stinking thing must have sprung a leak. Don't think the thermostat has failed because the top rad pipe gets hot ok. Just hoping the rad hasn't got a hole of burst an end tank. What a complete bummer.
heazille Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Morning Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudes Another fine morning (ish) Ta Ta Richard

Pressure test it mate. Update on the Type R (Gonna do this daily now!) - New thicker headgaskets are arriving today, head are being skimmed as we speak, valves have been replaced. Hopefully this weekend engine will be built, and ready to go back in. Morning dudes.
Cret Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Cheers dude! When I get in tonight I'll run it til it gets up to temp & starts leaking then find properly where it's p1ssing out from. Hopefully it's just something simple but it should be easy enough to spot I think (hope). Leak is right at the front somewhere anyway so with a bit of luck something will just need tightening but I've had an end tank split in the past..... Rassen fassen sassen. At least it sounds like the Type R is getting there!
Cret Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Bah! Radiator has indeed sprung a leak on the drivers side end tank. Time to find another rad. No way I'm trying to repair the hole either. I've had one go about 3 years back and nothing I tried could stop the leak. Bumholes. Looks like she's going off the road for a bit. Enter the Strange Rover.....

CustomScoobyIOM Posted October 6, 2004 Author Posted October 6, 2004 Doubt it, ill be probably be putting the engine in your car ready for first fire. Hoping engine to be in Sat, on Sun can start bolting up the ancillaries and finishing off the interior. Then can do niggly bits the week after. Sat/Sun can be the main day for doing the major work.
dooahhdoo Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 << Free digs at mine as needed mate. I'll look after Clare for you whilst you are racing >> You are such a tart Jon
Cret Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 << Will see what I can do for you Jim can't promise anything dude. Where is the hole? >> Cheers dude. Think I can get a new one for about £130 from Ebay which isn't bad. I'd rather fit on a new one than something as old as this is the second one where the end tank has sprung a leak. That said, if I could get a cheap second hand one that wasn't very old I would but for the money it's probably better to get a new one even though it means struts & stuff will have to be put off. Again. Not swede!
