Specially as yours isn't an old one dave. >> Thats right Jim, the manifold is off a MY98 UK though which have 380's standard. Mine does have 440's, will pull them out when I swap the manifolds over. Dave K Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Sweeeeeeeeet it's like christmas a steady flow of parcels have begun. Springs are here. Might fit these at the weekend to let them settle in time for alignment, but depends on the drinking this weekend. New Clutch & Lightweight Flywheel. The OE pipework under the manifold. Manifold 1. The mounting lugs. Manifold 2. After some filing it's all smooth. Manifold 3. And I smoothed out the casting joints whilst at it. Manifold 4.
Cret Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Sweeeeeet! Take it that's a standard flywheel that someone has lightened Dave rather than a custom made or aftermarket one? Can you PM me details of how much lighter it is and what they cost please mate as it'd be nice to maybe get one myself when my clutch has to be done next. Off away for the weekend now dudes - have fun!
CustomScoobyIOM Posted June 3, 2005 Author Posted June 3, 2005 Jim - Scoobynet group buy mate. Looks like a OEM skimmed flywheel with some drilling to lighten it. From API Engines so good stuff Real lightweight ones are a fortune. Just purchased one for a guy the other day.... £450! Plus the VAT! Ouch...... Roger Clark Motorsport though. Dave in Manifold 1 pic where exactly does the Flymo fit into the engine bay then?!?!? DUDE
Dave K Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 It is indeed an OEM flywheel that has been skimmed, I have to send my old one back when I fit this one. Just look under Excedy groupby on SN Jim, all details there, David from API said he's doing a batch of 5 a month so when your ready just add your name to the list. Dudes, the car got one over me today, went to fit the new springs got the top bolt off the hub but could I get the bottom one off, not a hope. Breaker bar would'nt even shift it, so going to have to get the garage to do it, as think a rattle guns is required. So instead fitted these. Pedals Cills And did the parallel fuel pipes, Parallel 1 Parallel 2 Parallel 3 Front mount intercooler is off the car to have the end tanks lowered ready for fitting in 14 days time!
