zeolite Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 Finally got home but had to head up to aberdeen for the day in the new car. I have seen a couple of scoobs so has anyone spotted us? Reg ends in VVY
andy Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 I've seen your registration form for the McRae Gathering
gus the bus Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Reg ends in VVY is it L1VVY! I'll buy yer plate if it is
zeolite Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 Andy...Do you believe everything you read? Gus..'Fraid not. I am sure that one will be well gone and probably up for sale in ebay Ireland.
fraser87uk Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 A Mazda RX7 FD3S with a recent rebuild or with an LS1 conversion.
andy Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Andy...Do you believe everything you read? Falsifying a McRae Gathering document is a serious offence. Where's our resident Polis?
zeolite Posted June 11, 2008 Author Posted June 11, 2008 I have been spotted by some SIDC folks now. I will post up some pics when I get the chance to take some. I am stuck up in Aberdeen again doing reports so tootling around in the mothership in the Dyce environs.
zeolite Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 Some pics of the new motor for you. The nice leather interior
st3ph3n Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I'm going to go with a WRX STI A-Line then Zeo. Jap import?
RS Grant Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I'm going for a GB270 saloon... nice choice, bit of added go/show over the standard WRX. Cheers, Grant
st3ph3n Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Lack of a rear wing + earlier denial of a GB270 make me think no. However, was the a-line available in anything other than silver. If so was the euro equivalent of the spec-d available in non silver - me think it was?
the squiggle Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I am just bloody confused Is it an Atalatean Double Decker Bus, if its not it bloody well should be
RS Grant Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I think that the A-Line was available in just Black and Grey... The "0" on the interior shot makes me think its a GB270, plus the wheels and colour coded front splitter are straight from the GB270 too. Then again, he put pics of the Legacy TD up as well........ so this could just be another curveball, I thought that the OP had gotten as much mileage out of this thread as possible and decided to ignore the thread until the confirmation happened, but I've failed. Cheers, Grant
zeolite Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 OK as Grant the bloodhound has said, I have dragged his out as far as it will go. Grant is also correct in that it is a GB270. It isn't the one as suggested earlier in the thread but a full leather one. I have been having a few back problems lately and the seats in a scoob don't help. It has done 1300 miles now and it is a responsive torquey ride. I would certainly recommend it to anyone. It is easily fast enough for any road driving. However i haven't as yet felt the lsds workin but I think that day will come when i am not expecting it. Mrs Z loves it and adores the burble.
st3ph3n Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I didn't know the GB270 came with LSDs. Oh well, good choice anyway
Guest greegsy Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 This is a very nice car but I would say that cos I've got one too! Saw it up at knockhill a few weeks ago when it was all still top secret. I've done about 1500 miles now in mine and it's getting quicker by the day! Nice to meet you zeolite. Greegsy
zeolite Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 Well met Greegsy! When I saw your car I just had to park next to it. Sometimes I am a whole lot less mature than my age would infer It is going in for its first service tomorrow.
