Exhaust Question

Can anyone tell me if an exhaust from a spec C blobeye will fit a hawkeye impreza?

It is a full sprtcat system.

thanks

Chris

Chris, I think the full system will fit. I know that the pipe between the downpipe and the centre-res section (usally called 3rd Cat Delete) are different lengths, but AFAIK, the over all length of the entire system is the same.

No it doesn't fit as the spec C run a twin scroll turbo.

Is this the case for all hawk-eyes ? If the 3rd cat delete is a different dimension that means that something else or shorter or longer too ?

Genuinely interested to know as I could do with just a smidgen more growl

The hawkeye a has different downpipe and catpipe from the bugs and blobs, but centre section and backbox are the same length on all newages.

The combined length is the same, but the downpipe on the hawkeye is shorter than a bug or blob and the catpipe is longer.

Edit:response to Cals post, referring to UK models

Yeah, that is what I was trying to say in the original reply, I just didn't realise that the Spec C had other fancy bits. Also, your 3rd Cat delete on the Hawkeye is actually the 2nd cat delete as there is no cat in the up pipe.

The twin scroll down pipe flange is a different shape and the holes are in different postions over the uk sti down pipe have a look on project spec c ,engine stage 1 page 4 and you will see a uk standard downpipe and a standard Jdm sti open neck downpipe in the pic's

doesnt a hawkeye uk sti have the twin scroll turbo? the difference between the two is the mouth of the downpipe as far as i know so the rest of the system should fit ok
