thewelsho Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 I heard some rumblings about people being charged for pax laps at SIDC knockhill days. Does anyone know if this is the case? I contacted KH circuit and they said its down to the private hirer, namely the SIDC. I really can't see this being the case s someone might only get one or two laps at most and to fork out a tenner for that is jsut insane. Anyway, hopefully someone will clear this up.
jimser Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 i think it was more of a santa cruise donation rather than a pax lap charge john
gus the bus Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 (edited) John, Jimser was/is right. Twas always a donation to Santa Cruise (if the passenger felt like contributing) for a few laps. All helps the cause Gus Edited March 11, 2008 by Gus the Bus

G.Mac Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 not sure, heard roumours late on last year that they were going to start charging for pax sessions, but untill now it has alway been free (apart for £5 deposit on helmets) dont kow if its just rumours or not. sorry I cant help more Graeme
johnnyr6 Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 I'm sure John will clear this up. They used to do this at the hothatch days iirc. You've paid to have your car on track so it shouldn't make any difference if you have a passenger or not. Johnny
johns Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 We're not charging for pax laps on Saturday, and I hope Knockhill won't be charging anyone. Normally towards the end of the year, we'll ask for donations to Santa Cruise for people wanting pax laps, but it is voluntary. John

stubaroo Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Donation at the ready for any driver (except Higgy, that might be too scary for a noob like me) willing to take out a track day virgin for a lap or two.
