What is that about? Doesn't even mention the reason for selling a brand new car. How does he expect to sell it?
thefastone Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 waaaaay too expensive, need servicing waaaaaay too often, As you say Styling is more weak than 7 days... The new STi, I believe according to one video that was doing the rounds a while ago, The evos were getting trounced buy the scoobies on the track... using top class jap race drivers... Think there was something about copyright and that video got taken down...
thefastone Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Oh and i dont know john, I'm guessing that perhaps he bought it knowing about the wait, and is selling it at over the odds.... I dont know what they are going for out the dealers like, I dont know, but I think it may be cheaper to wait the 6 months and KNOW that you are buying from a good seller...
the squiggle Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 It is a very nice car. As nice as the new Skyline Didn't think so Oh aye, your also a Nutter
bigal024 Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Dinnae like it. Looks like a Volvo. A fast Volvo...
gus the bus Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Dinnae like it. Looks like a Volvo. A fast Volvo... you would therefore need a flat cap, tow a caravan and to be a member of the Caravan Club to drive it
johnnyr6 Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 I prefer it to the new scoob, been in both and i was very dissapointed with the inside of the scoob, seats are not buckets anymore. The evo looked more extreme inside. That said the scoob does seem to be faster and i wasn't too let down by the exterior. It also is cheaper to look after. Even the sales rep i was talking to admitted subaru are trying to appeal to a wider market. Also the price for the 300bhp evo was advertised at £24995 Think i'll stick with my classic though... best of both worlds. Johnny.
scoobymark Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 44k for an evo , with a mere 360 horses bring it on for a smokin
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 (edited) Having spent the last week stalking Scoobies on forecourts, I have obersved the new STi in the flesh one some 10 different occasions ( on road/static) It's definately growing on me and I love the cabin, quad pipes, diffusers and even the front scoop - it looks real swell in 80's Ashes to Ashes style white too I'd love to take one on my favourite back road ( Stockimuir Rd nr Bearsden ) and tear it a new one............ Scoobies have always been a tad fugly but they are undeniably unrivalled on rough and gnarly B-roads in my opinion. Has Dr Forrest performed any bypasses ( remaps) on any snake-eyes ( as I call the 2008 MY's) ? Would be interesting ! Edited March 7, 2008 by ~ ~ Cal ~~
colzo Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 £44K is far too much. I must admit they do look good though after seeing one on the road the other day.
