Gav

Gav, I'd be very interested in anything you could tell me about it/ it's history, the current owner would be equally interested.

thanks ---john---

They look particularly massive John.

Never had you down for doing much braking though

What makes you think they'll be used ? The Disks are 2.8kg lighter than the STi Brembos that came off

Those wheels are nice John could do with a clean though

I'm sure the new owner will take care of that

Been doing a lot of thinking recently and decided the way forward for the car is to replace the MAF based Apexi with something a little more capable. Don't get me wrong the Apexi has been great. Really like the convenience of the Commander as you can diagnose issues and tweek the thing really easily without running around plugging laptops in. Last year I had Simtek firmly in my mind, and still like it, this one ticks all the boxes though. Nice to be spoiled by choice

This is what we have chosen.

Very impresive wee box. Does everything I could need and backed by some very clever Peeps.

I doesn't take a 'Rocket' scientist to figure out who'll be doing the tweeking for me

Same as what I have..................... You go S6 GP or PNP? Did you go for the full Knock Control option too?

Mines been sitting in the box in the bedroom with the MY99-00 loom adaptor since November (Pat never had the S6 PnP ready in time to install into Godzuki for Andy to map before I went to Oz for the Winter so I got supplied the S6 GP with full harness adaptor, 3-Bar MAP sensor and full Knock Control option instead)

Have to agree though, Spec-wise its brilliant

Great job from Charlie and Pat with the ECU..................... and Mark too for supplying it

Hi Russ, great minds think alike !! (or is it the other option that applies :rotfl: )

S6GP, I'll build a bespoke loom for the car so not really an issue (hopefully) :rotfl:

The knock control appears to be the big benefit over other products out there.

The Help and Advice from Pat and Charlie have been second to none. It would be a brave man that questioned Pats' technical knowledge.

Just need to sort out everthing else that should be under the bonnet  and time is marching on.........

Any idea if knock control is due for the SimTek John ? I'm lead to believe it's a warning system rather than knock control atm...

Hi Frank, I wouldn't know to be honest !! What's that often quoted term ?...............

Oh, Yes............ Speak to your Mapper

Well - if you need to look at or borrow the Loom Adaptor that Pat made for me then I'm sure we can sort something out.

Well, you can't keep a Good Man and his 'Pad Saw' down I always say ! Craigs' been busy in the garage

The rear of the car has looked something along these lines since build

Having thought about it the clam shape of the rear bumper is nothing but a big parachute ;) So Craig was at it today with his trusty Saw and the result looks like this.

Still a job in progress, but well on it's way. I'm sure most will recognise where the idea came from :)
