Started My Spring Cleaning!

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Well with loads of other folk on here cleaning their Scoobies last weekend thought I'd start on mine.

I got myself one of the new Meguiars Machine Polishers last December and only recently have I been able to test it out! Two weeks ago I did the top of hte spoiler and last week I did the roof. Need to take the time and go over the rest of the car..Here's the results so far:

Stuff used:

Meguars Quick Clay

PoorBoys SSR2

Blackfire Polish

Blackfire Paint Protection

Topped off with Colonite to bring out the richness (add to add hard wearing protection)

Definately less cobweb marks than there was before and much clearer looking paint! (sorry about the lack of before photos, wasn't thinking)

The Spoiler has been in bad need of this since It got painted last year.. Very impressed with how it's turned out so far.. Just need to get the Side-skirts and front splitter looking as shiny now ;)

Added a touch of Carbon Fibre to the B-Piller

P1020614.JPG

.. Ok it's not real carbon fibre but a vinyl that looks liek carbon fibre.. I'll see how long it lasts before water gets in behind it and it peels off. :o

Few more random shiny shots of the car..

Car looks superb mate, if u want to do mine that's no probs :( (see "gave my car the rally look" thread)

Aye saw that... Looks good like that... :o Kinda how mine looks after a week.. Dunno why I bother cleaning it.. ;)

Thanks for the comments guys n' gals! Getting carried away with it now..

Took the rear wing off in order to make one of the fixing holes bigger.. I get an annoying squeak every time I go over small bumps and it comes from the rear wing.. So tried making one of the holes slightly larger to stop it rubbing and put in some rubber rings to absord any vibration. Hopefully that'll stop the squeak..

With the wing off, it just made a good excuse to clean up the boot lid.. And boy did it need it!

Before - Spot the mini scratches Note to self: fix the "k" on the website address

After - Still a few slight scratches but much improved from the above!

Ok now I'm just taking the p*** :)
