Note On 06/07 WRX/STI 2.5 short engines the pistons run very tight bore clearances. On Level 4 and above we recommend a forged piston upgrade. The forged piston upgrade is also recommended for level 3 upgrages if used for sustained high speeds or if used regularly on track.

Level 5 we also recommend steel conrods, ARP head studs and uprated head gaskets.

I'm sure the cusco kid could advise best. You'll want to get it off the stilts, so prodrive or tein springs for starters. Good geometery setup too. Maybe droplinks, ARBs, ALK?

Tell him Teins are better than Prodrive Stephen, he'll listen to you! LOL! When I did my car I started of with cosmetic stuff, like stickers, wheels and spoliers - silly I guess. But next came the handling mods which I'd recomend before any power upgrades. That way you can utilse the power that is already in the car, before looking for more. I started with Droplinks, then springs then the ALK. The springs were the greatest benefit, then the ALK; can't say I noticed too much difference with the droplinks, but I never really pushed the car with just these.

As Cal said (or copied and pasted ;) ) the 2.5 do run a tigher bore, so be careful with the power, trust me, I know!

Good luck with it Mav!

yeah your cards are marked for the 18th Feb mate.

Here is my first attempt at my list

1)cat back system from meercat

2)springs

3)Defis's

4)Whiteline goodies

5)oil catch can

6)uprated fuel pump

7)an air filter as big as peter's lol

8)rest of exhaust fro meercat (downpipe etc)

9)NGK plugs

10)remap by the master himself (Mr F)

This will be done in stages 5-10 will be bought over the coming year and completed next year.

Only thing i was not sure about was boost controller as originally was going to go for an AVCR but have read that the hawkeye sti is not compatable. so what are my options in that department????? have i missed anything?

Sounds like the mods I've either got fitted to my car, or ear-marked for my car... and gotta say, you wont be disappointed with that little lot. :(

Cheers,

Grant
