Sorry mate, never used one. If you can drive calm for 1 min before switch off you don't need one.

yip i know i do that any way but this 1 has the 1/8 n 1/4 mile times on it as well and i couldna help ma sell. + am some times in a hurry for work in the mornings. thought i would rather b safe than a buggerd turbo n sorry lol

ECU is under the passenger footwell. I cant remember what the wires are but if you are really stuck

i can go in to my ecu and tell you, as i have the same one fitted.

Good luck

Parking brake bit is important

If someone does get into your car with the timer running then when they release the handbrake, the engine will carry on running. If you were to wire the handbrake switch into the timer then when the culprit releases the handbrake, the engine will cut out and the immobilisor will kick in

Seeing as you seem to have timers, as a guide, if I drive "normal" for last mile before home, generally is about a 10-20 second idle before turning off OK? or are the timers advising something far away from that?

I was considering getting one, but then some people say just to calm down last mile or so and all should be OK...

its a MY04 WRX generally standard...

yeah thats what I do too ..

my understanding of it is that its better to do a calm drive than using a turbo timer, because you're getting cooler air into the engine, rather than just leaving it ticking over.

i have been tempted to buy i turbo timer more than once, but have been told with the subarus you cant just leave the turbo timer running and lock the car n walk away???? the central locking doesnt work or something? i would've thought this would defeat the purpose of a timer??

oxbig1 can you engage the timer the jump out and lock ur motor while the engine turns over on the timer?

na i lock it we the keys. but if i leave the timer on i never leve it running longer than 10 sec. gives me enuf time 2 get out the car then lock it while am walkin away. am sure there must b a way around leven it runnin and settin the alarm when it stops???
