I'll admit It's a bit of a pain really..

Secure car (Very important!! Don't want it rollign around when loosening the dampers!)

Back seats oot!

Unsecure the searbelt reels.

If strut brace is 3 sections, remove end parts and secure to top of struts (ontop of caps)

Then climb into the boot and attach the center strut brace bar between the two ends which should pop out into the boot area. (This was a pain to do for me)

Secure seatbelt reels again.

Then put the seats back.

Voila.. Easy! (I'd give up an hour or 2 .. only takes 30-40 mins but I'd leave the extra time for swearing as you'll think it wont fit! Grrr!

(edited post as I had an unnecessary step in there)

Yeah it's really not too bad..

I think there's 5 or 6 bolts holding the seats in.. Then they just unhook and lift out easily..

Once the seats are out and you can see what your doing it all makes sense.

The only problem I had was trying to get the actual bar to fit between the two end sections in the boot. Only reason it was a pain was because of the awkward location and it was a tight fit.. But then if it wasn't tight it woulnd't be doing it's job.. Persistence pays off with that.

Then simply a case of putting it all back together..

Also don't worry about playing with the seatbelts reels, they are only held in with a single bolt and a lug. You could get away with not removing them but I did so I got better access to the top of the struts..

P.s. Is it just me or has the humour tone on this forum gone down the toilet recently! Must be all that frosty weather... :)

It's a pain, but worth it.

I'd like to add the following step in:

When attaching the middle section in boot attempt to hillariously trap friend who is helping out in the boot. Bang him on head with boot instead - laugh at him whilst he's actually in pain.

Result!
