madmanx Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Has anybody put in to Santa for something good for there car?
Zaphod_42 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Yup, a triple gauge dash pod and gauges to fit - thinking it'll be a bit of a bah humbug one though... LOL
madmanx Posted December 11, 2007 Author Posted December 11, 2007 Good call, Think I'd settle for some new tints on the front side windows, as had to take them off to get through DOT, looks odd now Not so dark, keep it legal
cupradave Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Nothing for the car on my list, somehow think it has had enough already this year
cupradave Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 (edited) D'oh!! duplicate post Edited December 12, 2007 by CupraDave
ASTiMAN Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 So Dave, have you got the clutch in now and boost wound up to 1.4bar? Looky what santa brought to me early: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...N:IT&ih=014 Picked it up last Friday and drove 300 miles home. Needs some tidying up but should be good cheap fun. Getting a few bits for it already.
cupradave Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Looks like fun, so will we see you up at the Autocross events and the Auto Tests when they start? Clutch is in dude but still running 1.1bar for now, gonna ramp it up after the new year once Ian can fit me in. He is off Island at the mo looking at a rolling road set up he wants so might even wait til thats installed before having the boost turned up. Gonna have to do some bushes after New Year and thinking about suspension too, heading to the Autosport show for work in January so will probably order up these parts while I am there.
madmanx Posted December 13, 2007 Author Posted December 13, 2007 That Pug looks the bizz, Would be just the job for auto tests, would need to run in class 5 with the engine mods. Should be very chuck-able though
cupradave Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Well good old Santa He did not forget the Scoob and saw fit to leave for me some sexy black mud flaps Cheers big fella
Cret Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 I just want Father Christmas (not bloody Santa!) to make me well enough to go and get the Legacy back here. I've even got some forged pistons ready to go in now too! Clutch is in dude but still running 1.1bar for now, gonna ramp it up after the new year once Ian can fit me in. What's Ian doing next on the car mate? If you are stuck I can happily upload the other map you've got ready & waiting for you?
cupradave Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 What's Ian doing next on the car mate? If you are stuck I can happily upload the other map you've got ready & waiting for you? thanks mate but I dont have the 1.4 map, Richard put it on Ian's laptop and did not give it to me
madmanx Posted January 1, 2008 Author Posted January 1, 2008 thanks mate but I dont have the 1.4 map, Richard put it on Ian's laptop and did not give it to me Dude did you not back it up, Can he email it back to you as an attachment of do you think he will have wiped it.
cupradave Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 dont get ya John, how can I back it up if I never had the map in the first place? the 1.4bar map is on Ian's laptop so we only have to plug it in and send the map to the ecu, the hard bit is finding a time that suits both me and Ian

madmanx Posted January 2, 2008 Author Posted January 2, 2008 Yeah, As the owner you should have got a copy of the map/maps for your car. I have three different maps for my Dax and I have made copies of all the maps and keep them safe. If you don't have a back up copy and your Apexi ECU goes tits up, then you are back to square one again and have to get the thing maped out again. If you didn't get a copy then I would ask for one. Plus also looks good if you go to sell the car that you have a copy of the ecu map. Do you see what I mean now?
cupradave Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 (edited) get ya it was never mentioned when she was mapped, will ask for them next time I speak to Ian, dont have contact details for Richard if we were to put the 1.4 map in ourselves would we not need to adjust other things such as fuel pressure? Depends really what Richard intended. Good point though and probably best to double check with him or Ian in case.
