oobster Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Gus - do you think Dunc would be able to do a geo check 'while u wait'? I'd like to get mine done after blowing out the front tyre sidewall a couple of weeks ago. Also - how much is it?
iain01 Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Gus, thinking of treating my car to a wee xmas pressie of a green panel filter, third cat delete pipe and non res centre. It has the prodrive back box and I've decided to stick with that. What cat pipe and centre section did you have fitted. Was going to go with H&S cat pipe and centre.

Both parts for £200 delivered! I got the H&S back box which is the exact same spec as the Prodrive one (less the Prodrive engraving on the tail) I normally get my mate Paul to make them for me but he's pretty busy the now Gus Edited December 4, 2007 by Gus the Bus

gus the bus Posted December 4, 2007 Author Posted December 4, 2007 (edited) Iain, Here is a link for ya! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-newage-WRX-ST...oQQcmdZViewItem Gus Iain, if you have the Hawkeye the TSL or H&S 3rd Cat delete wont fit. I think the only company that makes one just now is from revolution. http://www.revolution.eu.com Edited December 4, 2007 by Gus the Bus

If you have a Hawkeye, the 3rd cat pipe wont fit as its a different length to the Blob and bugeye. Try http://www.revolution.eu.com for the cat pipe Gus

fai17 Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Thanks Gus, I didn't realise they were a different length from the other newage cars, will have a look at revolution. I think Welsho has one for sell from his Hawkeye. He went for a full decat from Meercat so is surplus to requirement.
micra_wrc Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Gus, I can't believe how much fun you're having modding the forester, almost as much as fun when you had the 555
thewelsho Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 (edited) I think Welsho has one for sell from his Hawkeye. He went for a full decat from Meercat so is surplus to requirement. Aye, I have a third-cat delete pipe for sale. It's a custom made one from Meercat, quality stuff. I didn't go for the full decat though, just the sports cat which incorporated the 3rd cat and downpipe. Actually, in Hawkeye cars, it really ought to be called the 2nd Cat delete as there is no third cat; the uppipe is straight-through, unlike blobbies and buggies! Edited December 5, 2007 by TheWelsho
thewelsho Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 third cat delete pipe and non res centre. It has the prodrive back box and I've decided to stick with that. That was exactly the set-up I had, and its a really nice deep sounding burble that isn't too loud, but loud enough!
gus the bus Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 Gus, I can't believe how much fun you're having modding the forester, almost as much as fun when you had the 555 Eh, probably more fun as a lot of it hasnt been done before
thewelsho Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Eh, probably more fun as a lot of it hasnt been done before Nice one Gus! Was at Hypertech today as well. Got an oil change and aSTi TMIC fitted, yeee haa! It wasn't going on but Duncan modded the bracket and hose and got it to work. Roll on next Wednesday for the remap!
nippysweeties Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Hi guys, Sorry to hijack the thread, but I have a question about exhausts/cats. There are 2 cats (hawk-eye) for me to lose in order for me to make a visit to Mr F worthwhile. Now I want to keep the car road legal, but get the best out of it. Everywhere I look I see pipes that replace the second cat and pipes that replace the third cat, plus 100 cell cats that seem to fit everywhere! Which cat should I be looking at replacing and which one stays, or do I replace both with 100 cell cats, or do I take a bit of garden hose and ty-wrap it in place?!?!?!?! Granted a couple of bottles of Hoegarden - mmmmmm - are clouding my judgement a little, but I am really confused and would like to start making some tuning plans for early next year. In order to ensure I am completely skint. Over £50 to fill up on V-Power yesterday! Your help, as always, appreciated. Steve.

Steve, If your wanting to "keep it legal" buy the 100 cell catted downpipe which, replaces the two cats with one pipe from turbo to mid section. Simplest and most cost effective way! Meercat will make one for you. Hope that helps? Gus Edited December 5, 2007 by Gus the Bus
