the blue dragon Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Nice clean looking car mate . The only other one ive seen that nice in that colour is at craiglockhart. As a lot of the guys are saying, keep it simple with the mods, but handling is always a good one to go for. Most of all enjoy your new toy. Iain
scoobaroo Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Rare and unusual coloured Sport Sort the handling and brakes out before you think of upgrading the engine, thats the sensible way to go about it m8 Sensible handling mods are worth their weight in speed, George i`m sure will testify to that and give you advice on which mods to go for . First and foremost enjoy driving your new Scoob Marty.
thefastone Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 IMO don`t over mod it as looks good as it is.
Enne_aitch Posted November 14, 2007 Author Posted November 14, 2007 thefastone.... dont you sleep lol. just noticed you posted at 2:53 then again at 8 this morning.... your a mad man lol Cheers for the comments though. Think i will see how things go. maybe speak to Geo and go that way.
thefastone Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 (edited) You know something... When i posted my last comment... I must have missed this page... becuse Ive only just notied some of the other comments.... lol Ah well... anyways... tbh, I dont think that a bonnet scoop is the way to go, I wanted one before on the shed, but then you know something, I looked at some turbo LOOKALIKES, and I just thought about it... why do I need that, I'm happy whith what Ive got, I dont need to pretend... just the way that I feel, I dunno, you might feel different about it like... and if you manage to put any of the turbo boys to shame (like the Shed™ did) it just makes it that bit sweeter... and thats possible if you get your handling sorted... Oh and Nah, not mad, but as I pointed out on a thread to the same question the other morning... The answer to your question is, I'm only a little bit mad... and I do sleep... Enne_aitch Posted November 14, 2007 Author Posted November 14, 2007 got ya. lol... nice one wonder how that handles?? lol. what do you have done to your car to eat turbos??
thefastone Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 nothing... I have one now Like... but ther was a few questions being asked by a few people not long before I traded her in... you see in a straight line, no chance... at all... but gimme a clear back road...

frank c Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Hey Thanks! yeah thats the Forth Rail Bridge, I actually stay in leith but grew up in s.Qferry Maybe it's your STi i've seen in and around Leith then
zeolite Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 As an ex-owner of a cashmere yellow sport special I can tell you that it is a very good car. You don't say where you are from but since you have been speaking to Cusco I assume it is Fife. In which case was the one tha was for sale in Windtgates? The Sport special is a very good handling car but it is not a turbo. It has a lot mor body roll and if you wanted to change anything that would be it but it is utterly pointless to do anything to the engine. I should also say that it is a brilliant car in the snow and will go almost anywhere.
scouk Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 I've your gonna mod, just do the internals... exhaust/suspension/brakes e.t.c. I wouldn't touch the outside. I'm a great believer in keeping special edition imprezas the same as they were intended. They are already special and Will be worth much more untouched!! The yellow sports are great! There's one just along the road from me with a lady driver
ScoobySounds Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Maybe it's your STi i've seen in and around Leith then That will be me!
thewelsho Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 oh- and mod wise I reckon a bonnet vent, some nice wheels and maybe lower springs then leave it. Very unusual looking and I like it a lot. I also agree with every thing Mr Sounds says here as well, that will really make it stand out. Nice choice, hope you enjoy it.
nkwrx Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Nice car mate! Had a Sport myself in the past and I think it's a hugely underrated car. A De-tango would be one of the few changes I would make. cheers Kevan
