chris_c201 Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Since moving house i'm only doing about 50 miles a month and really struggling to justify havin the impreza due to insurance and stuff... toying with the idea of punting it and picking up a track toy, 205 GTi or something as i'm keen to get into track days and don't think this car is an ideal first track toy.... Only thing is since buying it 6 months ago i've spent over £1000 on it including box rebuild and new clutch, seems a waste now.. Anyone done anything similar, any thoughts?

Anyone done anything similar, any thoughts? Not through choice...I crashed mine, but to be honest the cost of running(again about 50 miles a day) was killing my wallet. Once insurance cash is through, I will not be getting another for a while. These are great cars, but like you say sometimes the head and wallet needs to rule the heart.

Try some rally raids by accident and realise yer crap and kill it in a ditch. Thats what I did. Least I dont need to sell it eh! I am considering a BMW320i or maybe back to a mondeo(had one before). Nought to the Scooby standard. Nice and cheap to run! Well in comparison to the Impreza

I had a mondeo before, great big car but a bit uninspiring, v cheap to run and mine had every toy in the book, heated seats were brilliant this time last year! Think a 205 mi16 conversion is the order of the day!
