st3ph3n Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 It must have been what 6 months since you started a new project Dave?
drb5 Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Ain't no project, but simply a car that you can jump in and drive whenever and whereever you want to! I forgot how good a car like that was. Concerned when you heard a noise that was different from the day before. A murmor that you never realised the car had before. Constantly thinking that something would give way and you'd be left with a bill, that simply didn't warrant keeping the car. I've simply done what Kenny.S is thinking about doing, except i've stuck with a Subaru and i'm very happy. Still, if someone WAS to offer me the right amount of cash, of course i'd sell it.

Now i thought that the blobeye sti would be the better base model as i t has better topmount, brakes etc and if i get one with ppp then all is sorted is it not?????
drb5 Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 If your thinking of a Blobeye STi then yes, good call, but if your only options are the 2.5 Hawkeyes, then i'd go for WRX and used the extra cash for mods. 2.5 is a totally different engine for modding compared to the 2 litre.

thewelsho Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 (edited) ditto that.....torque galore Yep, STi TMIC, VF34 Turbo, sports cat and remap = 400bhp and 400ft/lbs torque all for about £1600. That's my next target after I get my forged pistons done. John Edited October 22, 2007 by TheWelsho
