seano Posted September 16, 2007 Author Posted September 16, 2007 I was thinking of a full de-cat exhaust inc snakehead downpipe, would i be better doing the up pipe as well and getting it heat wrapped,Mabey a CAI kit (Whats the best one). Does a spec c need a bigger fuel pump?, hks dump valve, A/F Re-MAP. Grade 7 plugs,I would like a front mount as well but if i was going that far would i be better changing the turbo?
dipsy Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I am sure the spec c has a uprated fuel pump .Uppipe to the turbo is a twin pipe being a twin scroll turbo .The standard dump valve is good enough.Read the project spec c on scoobynet and what he done to increase power

seano Posted September 16, 2007 Author Posted September 16, 2007 Would you bother chaging the actuator?
P1_Paul Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Would you bother chaging the actuator? According to the AndyF, there's not much point. I certainly didn't have any problems holding boost and am still running the standard boost solenoid and actuator. If I was going to change the turbo to a hybrid, then it probably would be neccessary.
seano Posted September 16, 2007 Author Posted September 16, 2007 What mods have you done Paul and what power do you have, does the car feel faster due to the gearing of a spec C .I looked at the guide on s/net and i see they ended up sticking with a panel fillter, have you done this or do you have an induction kit?.

I just have a Simota panel filter, Walbro 255lhr fuel pump, Milltek Turbo back de-cat exhaust and an ECUTEK remap. The car is running around 350/350. The car feels fast because it is, not only due to the gearing. 260+bhp/tonne will do that! I should also say that the pick up is much faster than a UK car and revs to over 8Krpm. Avalyn Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 If you fancy a change of model you could always have a look at my JDM Forester STi. It's a black STi from Litchfields with the performance pack from Powerstation .. currently running 330 BHP/330 lb/ft. It's on Scoobynet/E-bay/Pistonheads if you were interested. The car is in Aberdeen. Avalyn. P.S Sorry for my 1st post being a sale thing

Looks good, apart from the awful F+F spoiler. Bet it shifts though.

He had the advert @ 280 bhp but i reckon it would be nearer 340-350 bhp ( 2.0 JDM twin scroll ?) Aye - I was not to keen on the spoiler masel'........ It did have £600 worth of Defi gauges installed though Cal

A standard JDM on V-Power and Octane will make about 300-310 without a remap, with full decat, fuel pump, air filter and TEK3 it will do 350+bhp/350lb/ft.
st3ph3n Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 That silver one has a bit of something about it that's not quite right. That rear wing is a TRU replica spec c wing. Same one as I have on my car.

I wondered if it was a T20 but it was not obvious from the documentation I saw.......think it has a Sports Cat although I never took a shuchty under the bonnet tbh Stephen - I agree if it was balck on black it would look better. Too much contrast with the silver This car has the same alloys as the WR1 had when they first came into the Uk from Japan. I'd imagine it would be a weapon ! CGS
