And THAT is it! Well that and a tweek or two from that hand of Andy. With those mods and a map your looking at STi beating performance! And that includes a mapped STis with no mods!

I'm still surprised at the results. Don't get me wrong it's not disbelief. A WRX PPP will just out do a std STi (which is what I'm aiming for at the moment on the bugeye) But that AndyF is a seriously talented guy and clearly knows what he's doing! That's a whopping jump in performance for what is not far off a standard car! To think that's with a safety margin built into the map so it wont meltdown everytime you squeeze the loud pedal. Very Impressed!

BTW - Forget STi beating performance that beats STi PPP!. You have a machine there that will outperform an RB320 in a straight line! Phookin ell! Stick some decent shocks and springs on it and that's a very serious WRX!!!

My next car is definitely a hawkeye!!! (a black one)

Excellent figures and lots of fun to be had! ;)

I've got a WRX PPP...only 2.0 though. Does the extra .5l and the VF34 make that much of a difference?

Don't know much about the turbos with regards to the difference between that and my standard

one?

Can I ask how much the VF34 cost you?

So far I've had my Eibach springs, anti lift kit and I'm about to get Whiteline arbs/droplinks.

Got the Meercat sports cat downpipe that you've got and a Meercat centre section.

Was saving up to get the up pipe and re-map at the same time.

Andy F had told me I'd maybe only see 20bhp more so maybe.............

VF34......... :)

Maybe Mark isn't jealous... But I certainly am..

Well Done! Hope you get used to the power of your new beast soon!

Any future plans? (just thought i'd ask......)

The GB270 limited edition WRX has 310lbs ft of torque. It comes equipped with PPP. It only has the 270bhp though. So the 2.5 is certainly pumping out the Torques.

John also forgot to mention that from the sports cat back it's got a de-res centre and a meaty backbox. But still, great numbers for not much.

VF34......... :)

Yes, the main difference is the extra 0.5 and especially the turbo. The VF34 cost me £420 2nd-hand and was recommend by AndyF, along with the TD05 20g. I was lucky enough to get the turbo, as it came off of another driver's written-off car. When I had never seen the TD04, but when I looked at it on the garage floor I thought, "is THAT my turbo?". It was quite a bit smaller than the VF34 and limited power gains are available with it. Driving the car with the V34 even sounds different, you can hear it whoosh as it spools up and when I left of the gas I can even hear the standard DV blow off, so its a new experience. It will take a bit of getting used too as well.

I never thought that I'd ever mod my car at all, but I am SOOO glad I did. Can't wait till Saturday and KH to see what it can really do... standard brakes though, hmmmm that's going to be a prob!

standard brakes at knockhill... let the fun begin.

lap 1 - to cold to stop you so you take it easy to warm them up...

lap 2 - they work and you hammer rounds the bends and late breaking....

lap 3 - pads now completely worn down, smoking and crumbled and you hit the brakes but don't stop....

well it could happen if you seriously slam them on.

have fun mate. wish it was me.

Not really, have to put the tin lid on it for a bit, but decent tyres are next, bigger brakes and an STI intercooler. After that... no idea!
