New car ..

Some of you will know, many will not, but for some time now i having been looking / trying to find a mint P1, looked at several private cars, but they never came up to scratch, i have traveled many miles over the pasts several months but to no avail, although i am now pleased (for me) to say i have finally become the proud owner of a P1 [:D] ...purchased locally ..(Dealer)

The car is totally mint with the most complete history i have ever come
across, a large folder full of receipts ...even the original bill of
sale. Brand new engine built by Prodrive and fitted by a Subaru dealer
only a thousand mile ago.

Purchased the car from my local Subaru dealer, so also includes a
years warranty on top of the engine warranty that already exists.

Just made a phone call to the chap that part exchanged it at the
garage, top man i must say, i am buying the private plate he had on the
car... he is also going to throw in a brand new ( well nearly new )
full set of Prodrive mats he had acquired, car does not need them atm,
but still nice to have icon_biggrin.gif

Took the car out for a spin and can not believe the difference between
the P1 and my WRX 300 ...the P1 is so much sure footed, it is like
night and day between the two cars.

Will not be collecting the car for two weeks cause the dealer is
going to re-paint the front splitter ( had a few stone chips ) and give
the car a full service and apparently change some gaskets on the new
engine which where due to be done after a thousand miles.

The car is totally standard apart from the Prodrive (optional) upgrade brakes/discs and the (optional) upgraded Sony 10 CD changer.

Will get some pictures up when i collect her [:D]

Nice, I know what ya mean about P1 although only a 22b would convert me I think, the bank manager may have a thing to say about that though. Sounds like it will be a stunner mate, looking forward to the pics

Great choice Craig.  I myself only bought my P1 about 3 months ago from a local dealer, after trading my newage wrx ppp in.

I also could not believe the difference between the two cars and dont regret changing at all.  Also got one year warranty, new engine 6,000 miles ago, upgraded brakes, prodrive mats.  Totally love it.

Have you joined the P1 owners website yet?

Only problem with a car that seems to have been so well cherished is your bound to feel a bit guilty caning the arse off it round knockhill or the likes [6] sounds nice though and wallet freindly 2 with new engine and warranty.
