wrxwillo Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I've wired up and mounted my boost gauge but a little unsure where I fit the t-peice. [8-)] I have taken a pic and highlighted in green the pipe I think I should split and T-Piece off but not entirely sure and don't want to screw my car up through stupidity. [:$] Can somebody tell if this is right? Thanks Karl []
wrxwillo Posted June 12, 2007 Author Posted June 12, 2007 He showed me at Tatton & I forgot[:$][:$][:$]........ knew I should have taken a picture of his instead of thinking I was frikin' rainman and would just remember[:^)]
*Andy* Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 In theory it can tee into anything on your inlet manifold. Don't know about the newage but the classics have a spare port covered by a rubber cover, my gauge plugs straight on to that.
wrxwillo Posted June 12, 2007 Author Posted June 12, 2007 Thanks. I'm not sure bout the Newage either. I'm comletely dense when it comes to stuff like this.
paul n Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Slightly different on ours but yes that's the correct pipe[Y] Piccie for ya[]
Diablo Blaze Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Mate, I can help out. Its easy, try them all, one has to work

wrxwillo Posted June 12, 2007 Author Posted June 12, 2007 That last post was meant for Paul NOT you Andy! - put ya crayons away[].
wrxwillo Posted June 12, 2007 Author Posted June 12, 2007 Just as a thought, would I be better off t-piece on the vac pipe that goes onto the dump valve? - It's just that the T-Piece seems quite small
robert_harding Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 IIRC...you tee off the vac pipe to the dumpvalve on a Newage...Bob (blueboy) initially had probs getting his to work.
rasher Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Bob (blueboy) initially had probs getting his to work. that's cause he plugged his into his oil sump
J0nah Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Thanks! What does IIRC mean though?[:$] IIRC it's If I remember correctly or something along those lines.
wrxwillo Posted June 12, 2007 Author Posted June 12, 2007 Cheers Jonah, starting to learn the lingo slowly[8-|]
wrxwillo Posted June 12, 2007 Author Posted June 12, 2007 My T-Piece is far too small (no jokes required). Has anybody got any quick fix solutions (besides buying a new one)?
paul n Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Bought a T piece for ours, about 50p from local motor factors
warby Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Bob (blueboy) initially had probs getting his to work. that's cause he plugged his into his oil sump Laughing i have nearly flew out of my chair at that Nige and Andy this is class. You have not changed 1 bit.

robert_harding Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Bob (blueboy) initially had probs getting his to work. that's cause he plugged his into his oil sump rotfpmsl []
wrxwillo Posted June 16, 2007 Author Posted June 16, 2007 Right, sorry to harp on about this but.................... I have a T-Piece with 4mm x 4mm x 2.5mm diameters. The vacuum hose on my car is 6mm so I am stuck. I can't find a T-Piece that has 6mm x 6mm x 2.5mm so the only thing I can think of is to buy some 6mm to 4mm reducers and fit the T-Piece I have. So my question is, will the reduction in diameter of the vacuum hose have a detremental effect on the car?
