  1. You haven`t stated mileage or if it has service history, full or part etc. Impossible to put a figure on it to be honest.
  2. I sold my Evo VI back in January after 18 months of mixed emotion roller-coaster ownership and bought an R33 GTR Skyline, which i`ve loved for the 8 months I`ve had it Im only running around 400bhp, its not a monster, but its nicely set-up and im competing in the Pro street drag series, doing well too, 2 trophies in my 1st season is nice and unexpected This is my car as it is now.......... Looking forward to the series finishing in October so I can strip the sponsor decals off and get my car back looking clean again

  7. Pah ha ha, that photo opportunity was spotted by my wife Angie when we went to Cornwall. I had to squat on the floor whilst tourists walked past me as I was pulling my best "ard as nails" face [] The Evo`s going well ta, changing all the time and currently off the road for new brakes and 18" wheels[] I still love the Subaru marque........but im not coming back!![]
  8. The fastshow is the 25th, we`re going down the day before on the 24th, if you`re all not too scared to be whooooped by an Evo of course[] .................................................................................................................................................................................... Ian, the Evo`s going really well cheers. Power engineering adjusted my boost back to 1 bar after it was fuel cutting due to the decat, now im on a healthy 322bhp and 287lb of torque without needing to remap it. Obviously an Ecutec would see me at 350ish, but I can`t afford or justify it yet. Im going back to Santa pod and im trying to beat my 13.5 which I got with the car standard. 13.2 would make me rather happy I reckon[H] Cliff
  9. Absolutely no-one interested in this rolling road day for Cancer research?!?!?[:'(] Only 3 spaces left if you have a change of heart. Cliff cliffordbtman@aol.com
  10. Oi Kent people, me and the SOX jap owners club (www.sox-japoc.co.uk) are going down to RWYB on the 24th of March if your interested[]

Price to run your car is £35, with £5 of that going to charity. Please let me know if you can attend, I need 100% definites only as we want £150 in the charity bin at the end of the day. 12. Cheers Si. We`re getting put up in a hotel by the NHS for this one, its near Hampstead heath so I might see you out and around and about eh?![] As for chasing you.....pah.....maybe out of those bushes on the Heath, thats all I have to say bout dat!!
  13. Cheers Mark[] When I get it remapped im not sure where to go. RC look good, so doe Mark Shead at M.A.D, and then there`s WRC tech or the Dentist. Its a long way off yet, I dont get used to this power i`ve got because I dont drive it often enough. I`ve only done 2200 miles in the 6 months i`ve had it now. Black wheels, black calipers and a few extra carbon bits are all still waiting to grace my car yet, then its almost there I reckon. Im slightly undecided by the looks of the Evo X, but I also know its not all about the styling too. I`ll have a look at the driver trainig day in April anyhow, I really really want to see what this AYC does and how controllable my car is under stress and out of shape.
  14. Mark, sorry for the off topic but I just have to say that I LOVE my Evo[] Im slowly building it up and getting all my little mods in place. Im concentrating on safe power for now, and small decorative touches to personalise it. Currently Im running 322bhp with 287lb/ft of torque, and thats without a remap and only 1 bar of boost. Im back at Santa pod on the 24th of March to see what my extra 46bhp will get me down the strip, can`t wait. Have a look here for my current pics and spec.... http://sox-main.co.uk/forum/garage.php?mod...icle&CID=50 cheers Cliff
  15. Ahhh!!!! I`d love to have done that[:'(] I really need to find out what my car can do when pushed. Anyhow, I can`t, im at the hospital with Angie.
  16. A cd of football related songs, ie: Fog on the tyne, You`ll never walk alone, Anfield ©rap etc etc!!!!
  17. Yes, very easy. Take off the pipe going from the boost solenoid to the t-piece at the turbo. Remove the pipes coming off the compressor housing and acuator, being careful to keep these safe and not lose the restrictor in the pipe from the compressor housing pipe(you may need it someday). fit the dawes across compressor housing and actuator. The dawes has a right angled nipple, fit a pipe from that to the actuator and the other end to the compressor housing. Remember, when the dawes is fully wound shut, you`ll be at max boost.....not good!! Open it up, then when testing you need to keep winding it in a turn at a time to get near your target, then 1/4 turns from then on till you`re happy. HTH
  18. A Dawes device is also a very good idea if you`re running in a new engine. It enables you to lower the boost right down to stop the temptation of flooring it when you need to be softly softly bedding the new engine in. You`ll 100% need a boost gauge if you add a Dawes, otherwise you`ll never know what boost level you`re running at from the second you fit it. In my experience, the Dawes is a good little gadget, but what I dont like is the low down power you appear to lose. It takes more load to open the ball and spring set-up on the boost controller, so 1st and 2nd, and even 3rd gear, feel slightly sluggish, but its fine when you hit 4th and 5th.
  19. I`ve had 4 x imprezas, thats 2 x classics, 2 x bugeyes. I wont be coming back to Impreza ownership since buying my Evo 6. Plus, the Evo`s better looking[]
  20. FPMSL[] Quality Kev, made me laugh out loud[]
  21. exactly, don't think evo's are challenging enough, too many gadgets to go in a straight line!!! Hi men, If you think an Evo is boring and too safe then you`re completely mis-guided im afraid. Its just as easy to get the back out on these cars is it was on my old Impreza`s. Sliding round a roundabout is still the same if thats what you want to do. I just think that when the sh!t hits the fan on the road/track and you`re trying to keep the car away from disaster, the Evo will have the edge with its AYC. Apart from that you wouldnt even realise it was there. I too miss the flat 4 sound at slow speeds, but once my Blitzed up and decatted 6 is hitting boost I reckon its as nice a sound as any Impreza. Also, I dont know if you saw the Power engineering figures, organised by the Kent Scoobies last weekend. My Evo 6 with just a decat, induction kit, bigger FMIC, put out 340bhp!!! So much more bangs for your bucks too.
