  5. Hi Stephen petes sponser here (sorry Father []) The ECU is an STI Version 1 ecu with Buddy Club piggyback chip but not remapped after the turbo fitting and no stand alone control. The complete story of the car is as follows. car was origonally a WRX and the previous owner had a V5 STI engine fitted. When Pete posted up pics of it Squirrel noticed that the boost solenoid had been "plumbed up to itself and the wastegate actuator was plumbed directly into the inlet manifold. At the alford day he had a look at it and checked out the ECU and he reckoned that was why the solenoid was "plumbed that way.I bought a Z4 ECU but when I fitted it the car just kept "nose diving" (probably due to the TD04). So if I fitted the Z4 now and got the solenoid plumbed up would that do the trick ? (should have probably done this first [:$]) or would it probably still be the same? and would it need remapped? Cheers Petes Da []
  6. Changed my TD04 for the above and the car runs like a Mondeo (apologies to any Mondeo drivers out there but it does) Boosting 0.5 Any help appreciated. Pete

  9. Has anyone got/seen a towbar on a classic saloon as my mate has taken up downhill biking and would rather have the towbar fitment bike rack than the halfords type that straps on,Think the big back box may cause a problem wth the normal towbar though. pete
  10. Hope you wasnt sneaking away home early rob [] Pete
  11. Glad you got it fixed mate! Pete
  12. I had the same problem when I bought mine except that some ned had tried to get into the boot so it was totally bu**ered. You remove the lower part of the back seats with the 4 bolts that hold it to the floor then there are 2 bolts that hold the back part on,once removed push the back up and it should them come out, then all you need to do is climb in and put the switch back.I got a new boot lock and key off flea bay for 6£ posted. Mine is a MY93 4 door so should be the same Pete
  13. Cheers Bandit The links for the classics works a treat,The section on the wiring is gonna be so handy as mine needs a bit of looking at due to the previous owners DIY attemps at the lights etc Pete

  18. Will have to wait till the New Year is past now. My Dad came with me as the car was dropped off 3 hours earlier. I created such a scene the guy was shaking! He was telling me that it was paint flake and how the paint process goes. My Dad told him he was talking crap and that's how he fits windscreens for a living. Definate screw driver jemmy! Will post after the new year how I get on. Pete
