Couldn't resist after getting her back yesterday [] There's an FMIC in there, honest []

Big thanks to Russell at bhp and Andy F for making my car sound like a horse [] (a side effect of an FMIC) My Apexi PFC was mapped today at Port Seton after some late shifts put in by Russell to make everything just right for the day. Sadly my clutch couldn't take the pace and only 1.2 bar could be out through it. Perhaps in hindsight trying to get a 13 year old clutch on 53k miles to take 300 + bhp wasnt the best of ideas [] It is a good bit faster though and it was desperate for more, as I could feel a hell of a lot of extra oomph before the clutch gave up. I will be back to Andy with a new clutch though and a power run will follow soon afterwards []

Dave - I can always stall fitting the Macsters gauges if he gets too smart[] Russell Especially if mine needs a new clutch []

Nice motor. You're going to be popular with all those neighbours with a Blitz Nur Spec []

9 months after the mod collecting started, its finally happening []

Russell, I touch goats re next week []

If only I'd noticed this thread earlier. I have a set of unused '55s for the 4 pots I want rid of.

Having bought all the bits for my planned adventure over 300 bhp, I thought it might be an idea to check out the insurance to see if I could afford it [] Not the best of ideas I'll admit and I was anticipating the pain of a four figure annual payment..... I got my list of mods together. It came to over 20 items, including spoilers, wheels and all the engine work [] I got hold of Greenlight first and rattled off all the mods on their on-line form. Came back at £760. Now I was surprised at this one. I'm 29 and its a '93 import WRX. Pretty good I thought and a reasonable £400 excess. I thought surely it wont get cheaper than this.... So anyway, I then tried Gary Moulson at Keith Michaels to see what he could do as he is highly regarded over on Scoobynet. Nice guy who has his own scooby and knows all the mods. I gave him a call yesterday and again I rattled off all the details. He called me today and said £580 [] This is only £150 more than I'm paying for the standard car! £580 for a potentially 300+ scooby and I'm not 30 yet. This has most definitely made my afternoon![H]

If I dont, its because the results are poor and I've deliberately crashed it into a tree [:'(] I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but Rolling Roads can be cruel sometimes.

Headers, FMIC, Up-pipe, 550's, Fuel Pump, Regulator, Induction, AVC-R, Gauges, Knocklink, 4 pots, lots of porting, some wrapping and some nice new fluids. All rounded off by a trip to Andy F the next week with a PFC for him to work his magic on [H] Who says Christmas only comes in December!

My car will be with him for a week when he's back on these shores next month. Cant wait []

Thankfully we have a garage, which is a must if you want your car to stay looking nice in Aberdeen. My car looks the same as it did when I bought it nigh on 3 years ago. There is still a scooby going about without a scoop or spoiler.

Aye that thunder and lightning was awesome. Got a video of a flash and rumble on my digital camera this morning, with the snow dinging down [H] There's hardly anyone at work this morning.
-
About 5 inches of snow on the car this morning, just over night. I love snow, but this is taking the piss. There is 14 inches in the back garden now and thats in the centre of town![H]

I got Mintex M1155's from here. Cheapest I found. http://www.asptrading.co.uk

Saturday is great, hopefully my face will be less swollen by then. Had some wisdom teeth removed and I'm resembling a hamster at the moment [] I'll bring the readies, think it was £75? ps have pm'd you for your address. I've forgotten it and cant remember how to get there [:$]
-
Russell, are those headers of mine still in your garage? I'm starting to forget what they look like [] I'll need to come out and see you to organise when you'll be available to fit all the bits (mid April?). Only about 4 weeks until she's back on the road [H]
-
Oh dear, I saw this today with some nasty afterburner lights on it. To make matters worse it was a young bloke driving it. Is anyone going to admit to owning this sacrilege?

It is with a heavy heart......................

[] Safe journey home Russell. -
Mine has been sitting for the last 4 months inside without turning a wheel and I have disconnected the battery. I have re-connected the battery and started it roughly every 2 weeks and run for 5-10 mins (Wuz advised every week, but I couldnt be arsed with that []). It has started first time every time and run perfectly so far.

Got to agree that 22b is fan feckin tastic. Where is the scoobynet "not worthy" smilie when you need it
-
Thanks Marc, I'll get the availability sorted out with him.
-
As above, as I would like to know his onshore/offshore schedule over the coming months There's a lot of bits to be fitted
