  3. Hi And Welcome to the SIDC

    If you PM your membership number I may have a spare pass for you for saturday :lol:

    Let me know

    again Welcome

    Kaz

    Hiya, just joined sidc and thought i would pop in to say hello as we live just on the border of oxfordshire/gloucestershire and my partner is a witney lad. I'm from up north originally but please dont hold that against me!

    We have owned the scooby for just over 4 years now, it's been our main family car and used daily and has been the most reliable car I have owned. It's a standard 1999 silver classic with sports exhaust, red mud flaps, and bright red subaru sunstrip, oh and a mcrae gathering sticker on the bonnet.

    You may see me around and about in Witney/Carterton as it's usually one or the other for the weekly shop,

    we are going to rallyday on sat, but not in the paddock as we joined too late for passes, but will hopefully get to some meets sometime in the future.

  4. I love the beaches and one thing I wanna do is to Ride my horses down the beach in the sea ;) hmmm some beaches they dont allow, I'm sure I will find one lol

    Yeah Kite Surfing is something I want to do, and yes very hard but a challenge I think.

    I use to Wind Surf at Studland in Dorset every weekend for about 10yrs use to love it.

    Cheers for the info Matt much appreciated I will call him :) hmmm he will be shocked when he hears a its a doris huh :lol:

    I will pm you my number give us a shout when ya down and we will all meet for a drink :)

    Kaz

    All sorted Kaz, I'll send you a PM with my mates bodyboard school info.....

    Personally I always wind surfed, loved it. Stithians reservoir is worth checking out if you fancy it? Kite surfer is pretty hard work though, maybe get some practice on the beach with a buggy.... :D:D:D I so miss the beaches and MTB-ing B)

  5. That would be cool for the lessons mate, I was an active Wind Surfer and really want to get back into it however whilst down there in the holidays I came across the Kite surfers.... WOW i was blown away and thats what I will be doing :angry: Yeah Els wants to try body boarding, so yeah would be great to give me the details etc or I will PM you my details....

    The roads are fantastic, I love them, however we had to sell the Exige as it wasnt an ideal car for down there, but the other half is looking for something to go on the water.... with alot of Power lol men and their toys huh :rotfl:

    The other half is already down there working, he is your friendly AA man so gets to travel around and get to know the places, he did get stuck somewhere cant remember the place, began with an M i think, but basically the road can only fit one car down and with his AA van it was a nightmare the locals didnt like him lol

    Kaz

    Lovely! We lived just off of lemon street in Truro for 8 years, so miss that place... there's a cracking michelin star restaurant in truro now!! thats a first lol... if you want some lessons, then i'll ask my brother in law to pass me details on his mates surf school. it could help :D

    How cool are the roads in cornwall though!!! the drive from Truro through Trisilian and Ladock is awesome! And don't forget to check out Idless woods on the outskirts of Truro, they are fantastic for MTB-ing

    have fun, wish we were heading back down south...

  7. Just an Idea guys but with regard to Fleeces ( which is much better than the sweats) maybe go Black with these but have the writing Bright Orange!!!

    As Fleeces are worn mainly in the winter so hence a dark colour.....

    T shirts remain Orange etc

    Just my 2p worth guys

    Kaz

  8. Hi Matty

    Travelling to Cornwall isnt good on the petrol side of things however a nice fly down the A30 is cool, have to put the bung in tho as the drool of the Nurspec gets a bit annoying after a while!!

  10. A SPANISH Teacher was explaining to her class that, in Spanish,

    unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.

    "House" for instance, is feminine: "la casa."

    "Pencil," however, is masculine: "el lapiz."

    So, a student asked, "What gender is 'computer'?"

    Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into

    two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves

    whether "computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun.

    Each group was asked to give four reasons for its

    recommendation. The men's group decided that "computer" should

    definitely be of the feminine gender ("la Computadora"), because:

    1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;

    2. The native language they use to communicate with other

    computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;

    3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for

    possible later retrieval; and

    4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself

    spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

    (THIS GETS BETTER!)

    The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be

    Masculine

    ("el computador"), because:

    1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;

    2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;

    3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the

    time they ARE the problem; and

    4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had

    waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

    The women won. ;)
