    dont know the scenario mate but are you getting the basics ? fuel ? spark / compression etc i might have my old maf sensor kicking about mate it was faulty but the car ran with it just fine !! if you want i can see if its still in the garage tomorrow for you and post it to you ??

    well i dont have the know how to draw on the pic you have posted up seafar but i was told it was the component to the immediate left of that forge dump valve you have there mate

    disconnect the wiring plug and undo the 2 screws withdraw the unit put it in a small tub to reduce the mess !! and use carb cleaner spray to clean it then its a case of refitting !! btw if you dont have carb cleaner use some wd40 ! hth !

    yeah i would change out the maf and then clean out the iac valve (2 min job) maf sensor is £70 if that helps ! and if its a classic 99 like mine you just have to connect the green and black plugs under the steering cowl to get a fault code and if you get a fault code of 26 iirc then that is your maf sensor hth !
