<< What sort of miles are on her and is the cage a bolt in or welded? >> LOL Thought Gumball might have been interested in this John.
-
<< << Andy do you have yours in the car yet ? How did you find them !!! >> Came across them looking at these >> Mmm a bit Max Power for my liking John.

<< Looks like you have 2 choices 1. Get on with it and be thankfull you will be home at all over the period or 2. do something about it i.e get your cv in order and look for another job Everyone has control over the path they take and jobs they do in life, if you can't handle it/ don't like it then change it!!!! I have not been home for either xmas or new year for the past 6 years because of the paths i have chosen, i am just thankfull that i have a job that affords me the lifestyle i have. >> Nicely said, couldn't have put it better myself. The downside to offshore/expat work is the occasional Xmas/New Year working pattern, but for me I can't see myself getting better pay and annual leave working somewhere onshore so I'll quite happily stick to offshore John.

We're currently running a book on one of our guys that is rota'd for xmas and new year, he was laying the foundations last trip pretty thick if he does we'll never let him forget it John.

<< Armadale Motors In eh....... Armadale have one. The guy that owns the garage has a vast collection of serious cars including Ferraris, Lambo's, Porsches etc but I noticed the 22b the other week. Price? I think you can access his site through Auto trader. Gus >> John.

FFS how many times to we have to read this from you, make your decision and stick to it Stay - and ignore the comments/threads which you do not think are valid to you ( instead of answering to basically everything like you do presently and end up posting irrelevant cr@p or getting into an argument with somebody ) or Go - And don't let the door hit you in the ar5e on the way out Put up or Shut up. John.

Thoughts are with his family and friends Pity the TV seems to be more concerned with a drunken waste of space John.

<< The SVA test is <102dB at 1m, with the engine at 3750rpm. MOT test is something like it has to be no louder than "standard". nice and vague. Si. >> Also the meter has to be at a 45 degree angle from the outlet of the exhaust IIRC. So sticking the probe right in your pipe (oo'er matron ) ain't a legal measurement. John.

<< Ye what a difference wullie, after seeing what its like with just those fitted i'm thinking of polly bushing everything now >> Little word of warning, polybushing everything can make the car feel very harsh and hard at low speeds, great on track or when pushing it though. Maybe worth considering depending on how you use the car. John.

<< Swissol is THE BUSINESS - best purchase I made 2 years ago for my Impreza - still loads left and half the wax too and it has been applied a dozen plus times easily. Also use Meguairs, BUT it is NOT as good for a black car as Swissol - leaves oily mess in the reflection (I am talking about NXT was here compared to Swissol Samurai wax - maybe an unfair comparison). And the only problem with products like Turtle Wax and Autoglym is they are polishes, not waxes and as such lightly cut the paint and are clay based so leave black rubber trim etc with white streaks - none of that from Swissol. MUCH easier to apply and remove. NXT on my silver car and the wife's though is fine. Works even better on my guitars and my amp Brian >> MMMmmmm always fancied the Swissol but couldn't justify it, can't say my Black STi looks any worse for the applications of Meg's NXT John.

Thanks Spooks, its gutting me a bit selling the car but as you said its just another expensive toy sitting doing nowt I'll still pop on here now and again and you never know I might make an appearance at K-hill form time to time especially now that I might be getting a large empty space in the garage John.

Dunno Chris, probably out of the perfromance car market for a wee while as I can't justify having something sitting in the garage doing nowt, well make that two things forgot about the Mille , which has actually done more miles than the scooby Really fancy something that I can take to aberdeen and leave at the hotel for two weeks while I'm offshore, really really p'd off with scotrail/first travel whatever they call their selves now took six hours to get home from aberdeen last time John.

Thanks for the comments guys. BTT for me. John

Well the time has come, I'm parting with the scoob. Basically I aint using the car ( circa 700miles since March ) and its too much car too have just sitting in the garage. Spec: 2003 STi ( April Reg ) so approx 6mth warranty left. Prodrive Spring Kit and PROPER alignment. Prodrive front lip spoiler. Genuine STi Mudflaps STi Mats. Tinted windows - not too dark on the front so the old bill don't really notice BLITZ NUR Spec R - Fitted March only from the CATS back, no link pipe etc, original available if req'd. 2 New front tyres approx 500miles. Usual STi spec plus Tracker is up to date and transferable for the remainder ( approx 6 months ) DLS Front component speakers. Also the following has been done under warranty; New battery as most of the early STi's came with poor ones. New rear shocks, this is the fix for the common knocking sounds heard from the rear of the car, the alignment was carried out AFTER these were fitted. Just under 18000 miles from new, one owner not a thrashed Ex-demo, the car has never been around K-Hill. Sensible offers by PM. Thanks John.

Another recommendation for Stevie Walkers, only thing is he is generally very busy so expect a 2 week wait for a slot. John.

<< The original sensor is fitted near to the centre of the block at the back of the engine. The knocklink sensor tends to be fitted on one of the inlet manifold runners or on the block on a spare threaded hole as near to the original sensor as possible, usually close to the gearbox bellhousing. >> Personnally never seen it fitted to the Inlet manifold always seen it fitted to the block, surely it os debateable as to how much use it woould be when mounted on the inlet. John.
