  2. A Priest, a Doctor, a rich Businessman and a Scotsman were waiting one morning for a particularly slow group of golfers in front of them. The Doctor shouted to them, "I've never seen such poor golf!" The Scotsman chimed in, "Och aye! We ha' been waitin' for nigh on fifteen minutes!" The Businessman called out, "Move it on you guys, time is money." The Priest said , "Here comes George the green-keeper. Let's have a word with him." "Hello, George!" said the Priest, "What's wrong with that annoying group ahead of us? They're rather slow, aren't they?" George the greenkeeper replied , "Oh, yes..That's a group of blind fire fighters. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last year. We always let them play for free, anytime they want to." The group fell into an embarrassed silence for a moment. Then the Priest said , "That's so sad . I think I will say a special prayer for them tonight." The Doctor said , "Good idea. I'm going to contact my ophthalmologist colleagues and see if there's anything they can do for them." The Businessman replied , "I think I'll donate £350,000 to the Fire Brigade Benevolent Fund in honour of these brave souls." And the Scotsman said , "Why kin they no play at night?
  3. Have you ever seen anyone actually working at the side of the road?
  4. Welcome m8! Names Jock, Wee Jock!
  5. Drove through these many a time on the M2 in Kent, each camera covers its own lane therfore if you start in one lane and change lanes midway through that stretch the cameras cant gauge your average speed. Im almost sure it was in the papers down south that the cameras cant measure both lanes. If Im wrong Im sure someone will correct me.
  6. Try here m8, all the best & good luck http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/uvl/popup...&distance=0
  7. Most people like me who drive in London use the ring roads the north circular and the south circular these roads skirt round the congestion charge zone, they are talking about £1 per mile on these roads and the other major roads through London, that way they would have a bigger catchment area. Believe it or not I have over paid the congestion charge on several occassions, I wrote to them looking for a refund and was told this was not possible so I was left out of pocket, they gave various reasons for not refunding me. If I can find the email I will post it up.
  8. Dont know about that m8, if they have cameras that can measure your average speed by covering all entrance and exits to roads then they know how far you have travelled!
  9. £1 per mile to drive in London has been suggested by the (Mayor of London), how long before this comes to a city near you. Another tax on the motorist, as if we dont pay enough.
  10. SVA Imports are from the Dover area, I know of them as I was living in Canterbury for 3+ yrs, a lot of the folkes on Kent Scoobies will be best placed to give you the low down on them. Heard the odd grumble but you get that everywhere! all the best

  14. The V LTD has been an exceptional wee car for myself and was loathed to get rid, unfortunately it needed a bit of money spent on it so decided to trade it in. I am very happy with my new 57 plate STi however the V-Ltd (Because of the mods I had done is a quicker car) It also drives better by that I mean, you point it where you want it to go and it goes, it feels solid underneath you and gives you confidence in its ability. I have only had tyhe Sti for over a week now, it has been modded 380ish bhp, find it a bit twitchy underneath and its defo not as quick off the mark! Gav at Greives has my old V LTD at the moment and reckons its pretty quick too. (Look at Gavs post for wanted items (lights & rear bumper), he was out in it last night) Had the car 4 years spent a fortune on it and it didnt let me down once. Had a look at various motors before I traded my car and everytime I tried to make a decision the sensible thing was a scooby, you just cant fault them.
  15. It always rains round our way! Was driving a 96 Mica Blue V-LTD with FMIC & Morettes, now sold to Gav @ Greives, now running a 57 plate Urban Grey STi. Will wave if I see you, if its sunny I will be looking to get my car washed Will post you a pic of old scoob and new scoob when i get back from London tomorrow night!!

  18. Car is going well, was wondering if he had any receipts for the work that had been done on the car, as you will have seen from the paperwork that was handed to yourself I like to keep the history records of the car.
