    dont have a clue mate when mine went i got it covered through the warranty there will be peeps along later will give you sites or numbers of places to get second hand ones probably. it is quite a common fault with 5 speed subaru gearboxes, isnt 3rd gear thats away by any chance

    theres a place called neill engineering on main rd in glengarnock that could probably rebuild it for you but you would have to get the gearbox out and take it to them though not sure of the number greersprt also in glengarnock would do the lot for you 01505683388 ask for bill or colin

    i have a wrx and like chris i wish i knew more at the time and i would have gone for the sti, lots of nearly new ones kicking around at the mo for 20k. i also had a leon cupra r before i got my subaru and all ill say is get it you wont be disapointed [Y]
