  10. Yup MAF - Airflow sensor. Subaru part no 22794AA010-meterCP-airflow , about £70.00. Do you have an aftermarket air filter? These can kill them. Check all your pipes first and see if anyone has e delta dash that can look at the car for you. Alternatively come to the Power engineering RR day 15th May,as they stock them and might even check it is that for you with their delta Dash

    Tyres

<< R.M tyres on the medway city estate (01634 716336) are worth a ring, they have allways beat the big tyre depots on price. Tell them your size and they can quote you on most makes, quoted me £79.00 fitted for 215/40x17 toyo's recently which was cheapest quote i could get anywhere. If you ring them say mark from RAC gave you thier number and ask for phil or barry. >> Ive always used RM myself since they opened. Iteresting that they can now get Toyos as they fitted my last set, but I had to buy them from Scoobyworld and get them delivered to Medway. The price they are quoting is the same price Scoobyworld do them for. Medways city estate, round the back of the Vauxhall Dealer.
  13. << 1,anyone know of a dent man around the medway/gravesend area who can remove a little dink in the middle of my drivers door (fitted free when parked at Tesco!),plus poss cost. >> Dunno, about that one. Yellow pages I guess. << 2, where can i get my wheels repainted, dont like silver, not allowed gold so going graphitte. >> Lepsons are best round here, near Gillingham train station. 01634 580582, complete refurb from £30 a wheel. << 3, is it worth fitting a decent panel filter and a centre decat pipe as a first step in getting a bit more power (got used to car now and dont scare myself anymore!). >> Filter and exhaust is always best as a first step on any car.. But dont be too eager for more power once you have changed them, if you have a standard suspension set-up. A car with standard power and an uprated chassis is much easier to drive on the limit, and will be invariably faster point-to-point than an overpowered standard car. On the straight it will be power that rules, but if you want to be first on and off the roundabout get some eibachs and some uprated rollbars. Some people may disagree, but they have probably never lived the experience. << 4, if girls are made from "sugar an spice" why do they taste of anchovies ??? >> Maybe you should order a differeent type of Pizza when you invite them round for the night
  14. << Can we bring friends then ??? I know a few soilders Could get them to come along Tony >> Tony I dont know if we want any of your friends 'Soiling' up the place
  15. Oh yeah. Paintballing sounds good. I love the smell of wet paint in the morning, - smells like victory! Can we do hand to hand commando tactics with marker pens and halfords touch up sticks?
  16. << As there are only 2 lady owners in KentScoobies, one of them being me (although some of the blokes do act like big girls - you know who you are ) Womens beach volleyball is not quite viable... >> Women should always stick to proper girls sports Like Foxy-Boxing and naked mud wrestling hooo yaaaa!
  17. When it comes to GoKarting, can I suggest an arrive and drive. There?s no official racing, but we could have our own trophy/prizes for fastest/slowest lap, best spin etc.. Prices are from £40.00 for half and hour and if we go for an hour slot (2x30min sessions) two people can share a kart, and the £75.00 cost. The benefit of doing it this way is that you can have as many or as few as you like and people can book the day direct. Paintball sounds good to me ?Bowling is like: Womens beach volleyball. It takes great hand-to-eye coordination!? And playing it is even worse
  18. when I was looking I didn't have a Type R in mind and only bought this one as I wanted as may Modifications already on the car when I bought. This is because I have modded a car bedfore and never got my money back. its false economy. My advice, agree the laon, sell/fix your car and then take the 12/3K to haggle on a version 5 car that has the full facelift and as many modifications as you can get for your money. Since buying mine I have 'changed' the aftermarket wheels, and only really uprated a very few parts, its been cheap to run and I always had something to sell, when I bought something else.
  19. P reg will be a version 3, without the later classic 'Forester' dash and interior. Everything else the same as the V4 though, it just cany be made to look any newer (V5 bumpers etc)
  20. Damn, it only went for £510 which could've been in you car and running for under £700 (Petrol/oil/gaskets etc0 if you fitted it yourself. Thats a lot cheaper loss than 2K for a rebuild! and wrth considering. Im not 100% I want to sell mine so soon, but if you want to come round and look, you can at least see how they drive and I can show you what to look out for.
  21. Trouble is im used to the high-life specification in a car. I dunno what id do without me Heated seats, Defi's and AP's. Wear warmer clothes, look out the window and brake earlier, I suppose
  22. << buy HOLs type r , as Tony said it is a cracker >> Its the only one I have ever seen with the full electric pack. Trouble is, every time I drive it, I dont want to sell. When the 2.5 Bottom end turns up from the states, I know I will have to do something.
  23. QDog This is the engine on Ebay. It is in Birmingham but Tony has a van http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...&category=10424 The ad says S reg, but looking at the picture it is a phase 1.5 and witha change of manifolds will fit directly. Or, keep the manifolds and fit the later intercooler. Its also UK, but unless its an STI, they are basically the same. Also, im sure that some of the Kent scoobies could stare a saturday to swap them over.
  24. << I just spoke to someone who is willing to give me £3000 for my car on a px for a 98 STi type R, which I was hoping to get at some stage anyway. and spending the £10k to get the car of my dreams (well excluding a 22b but I aint that rich) . >> I assume that means he is valuing the Type R at £13k , Thats a bit TOOOOO steep!. I only value mine at £11k, and mine has nearly everything modified. (the steering wheel is the original STI) There an engine for sale on ebay, API engines may do you a cheap short block and Rally Colin will rebuild/refit yours for about £2300, including a new pump and crank.
  25. << Hol - washing your hair is not one of them >> Which one the left or the right one? What about: I forgot that it is Kyles Karate grading in the morning and as an irresponsible COOL Dad, I have to go watch.
