Your ment to put your keys in the ignition before driving !!!!!!!

Old age has made you forgetful

    >>

    Cheeky Sod,

I wouldnt mind but they fell out twice! face-icon-small-shocked.gif, the first time it was on a straight and I had some speed when the immobiliser cut in, the second time was on the corner, and it was lift off heaven!

Still, I did enjoy my EVO worrying face-icon-small-happy.gif, he had the legs on the straight and I was all I could do to keep up, but the corners were definitely mine. face-icon-small-cool.gif. Gotta hand it to those Leda's and AP's.

(stupid no passing on the corners rule face-icon-small-frown.gif, I came along side and waved him back in front about three times a lap)

Edited to ask, does anybody else key come out when the ignition is on?

    Shotokan,

I studies as a child and stopped during my school exams but never went back.

My Son (Called Kyle!face-icon-small-shocked.gif) started with my old instructor (Now 5th Dan) when he was four, so I let him have two years headstart and started again (as a Whitebelt again, since 20yrs had passed).

It was very interesting at my first grading as I train with the Black Belts in the dojo classes and I got called up to partner a purple stripe from another Dojo during the Kumite. The graders knew me, but his face was a picture face-icon-small-smile.gif

    Not one challenger? LoL.

Sam, you really have a lot to learn about doing your homework before baiting people.

BTW, Is the RS6 aimed at TT owners who actually own their own hair salon face-icon-small-wink.gif

Some advise there I wish I had had before my first track event.

Personally, I always have my heater on to help with the cooling and sneakily open my windows a crack to let the heat out. Its a bit naughty and dont blame me if they tell you off!

I also back off a little on the pit straights once the car starts to get too hot (4-5laps), so that it gets lots of cool air to the rad and brakes with no-one in front so I can have maximum fun (and safety) in the corners.

Bear in mind that that you will get a variety of smells in the car, most of which are the results of hot brakes, wearing tyres and strained clutches. This is normal, but it will get in the back of your throat so make sure you have some water ready for when you pit.

<< c) use this lap to get familiar with your new, rather alien surroundings. >>

The above comment is very important, you need to feel the track and increase speed grdually as you try different lines, if the cones are out, use them. Most of the time they denote the optimum turn in and clipping points for the corners. If not, watch the faster cars, they will show you the way to a smooth less stressful lap.

  8. Got a Link ECU on mine. was fitted when I bought it. Works alright and doesnt need a MAF. I have it set quite mild as I dont want to blow up.

If your car was post 99, I would suggest the TEK as they use most of the original subaru codes. Im be going that route on my next car.

  9. I had a wander up there myself to have a look, on the way home about 10.45 pm.

Not good timing though, as when I pulled in, two coppers pulled out and everyone was leaving.

Saw one new age blue Scoob parked up on the left and some poor sod in a Red RS Turbo having the ?rubber glove? treatment being performed on his car.

I just turned round and went home. face-icon-small-smile.gif

Monty, was that you I saw on Princes about 5.15 on Sunday?
