Theres plenty of different types of places you could stay. depends on what sort of break you are after. Keswick / Grassmere area is reasonably quiet. Good base for a bit of craggrattin. But pretty boring imho. Windermere / Bowness is very busy and good nightlife. some very good nightclubs in bowness. You could stay somewhere like Kendal (where im at) and its handy for everything. Its on the doorstep of the lakes and is a good shopping town, with good nightlife, pubs , clubs and some very good restaurants. Wherever you stay , the local roads are very very good [] check out http://www.thewestmorlandgazette.co.uk/index.php for lots of local info. you could also try logging onto http://www.cumbrianscoobs.co.uk/index.asp and asking some of the other local scooby guys. im sure you will get plenty of info on there.

There is a newish bmw mini around the south lancaster / garstang area with the numberplate U2 Thats got to be worth a bob or two , to the right person [] Also saw a black rangerover with blacked out windows and BIG crome wheels in Grassmere once with the plate BEA 5T. thought it was rather fitting.

westgate tyres at morecambe have a set for sale only on his car for a couple of weeks. tyres are as new toyo t1s as well. sure he wanted around £600 for them. give them a ring on 01524 840044 he may still have them. good guy to deal with too. i was going to buy them myself but settled on a set of 17" prodrive 7 spokes instead.

somebody tried (obviously didnt know what they were doing or they would have) to break into my old shead of an astra van. bust both door locks with a screwdriver. wouldnt have minded but the back door wasnt locked. lol police came round had a quick look and took a few details and told me if they had any news they would contact me. but also told me not to hold my breath. so i know how he feels, although i never lost anything of value.
