About garetgax

  1. Just a short vid of one of my runs yesterday at donny. (yes this time i didnt get thrown off as it was 105db day). Sorry about the language and my inane jabbering at the end . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqCdD5fJ9Y4 Had a wicked day and after some instruction (later in the day than this vid) improved on things massivly. Couldnt stop grinning all day and loved donny. Its my first track with big up and down gradients. I loved craners especially after the instructor gave me some pointers. Wish I could go on normal days now but no chance with 99db limit.
  2. you have a very strong case as the goods clearly were "not fit for purpose" and garage i.e a retailer have more responsibilities than a private citizen in terms of legal redress on your part. It is also a popular mis-conception by people that 12 months is the time limit. It all depends on what a judge deems a "reasonable" time for a product to last for .In this case 20 minutes and 8 miles is definately not reasonable. Therefore they have to allow you to return the product. If ya want I can see if I can dig my old notes up on this as cant remeber the other acts that cover this. Get trading standards involved as well as this guy is obviously a rogue trader. You may also need an independant assessment of the vehilce and what went wrong to give further weight to the argument. I think the max you can claim for through small claims court is 3k though. Regards Graham.
  3. Fraid you do see yong rich kids driving evo's now as prices come down. In my day at 25 insursance co's refused to insure you for group 20 cars. I even stuggled at 25 to insure my modded RS turbo and had fulln/c etc. At the time i thought it a bit unfair, now i dont. Insurers need to go back to theose rules as it reduces our premiums and makes the roads a safer place. Insurers only think about one thing though, money. My thoughts go out to their family, tragic.
  4. Thinking of going down to 17"'s from my 18"'s cuurently on the scoob. Any thoughts? Pic of em below.
  5. come on you gooners...........bring it home lads[]. Can honestly say i'll not enjoy any of it till the final whistle as will be too nervous.
  6. fitzy you got it in one.plus me and the trouble and strife are going to oz at christmas so had to re-coup some cash. Was gutted to see the evo go but this car with the wehiteline kit wont be too far behind the evo. Taking me a bit to get used to the scoob, its as quick in a straight line but not sure about burying it into corners like i did with the evo.[]
  7. "Ooops maybe i should've used that brake thingy a bit earlier, do you think my warranty will cover this?

  10. I'm an arsenal fan ( flame suit on) and the same ticket farce goes for us. 80,000 seater stadium and 25,000 tickets for Arsenal and 25,000 for Barca. Its a joke. On the result........................................Come on you Hammer's even though you did cause permanent trauma to me as a kid living in Hornchurch and a certain cup final...........
