I have a WR1 with 5k service intervals. The 5k power service oil & filter thing needs to be done at a dealer otherwise my warranty is zapped.

Thanks for the feedback about the dealer guys. Knowing dealerships in general, I expect that sending the mechanics on a course was some sort of requirement from IM. £80 an hour for a big time dealer [] isn't too bad, cost is not a huge issue - I just want the work done properly & to a high standard by people I can trust. I'll definately take on board the Widnes suggestion though. My car needs an oil & filter (power service) every 5k miles. Would you suggest a ferry trip for that service too

Yup, we visited last month. We have decided to move to the island! I will be coming over again in April for a few meetings & there will be another family trip later for house-hunting.
