  1. Fuel pump and spark plugs fitted, boost solenoid cleaned. The car had been stuttering and idling rough, i did an ecu check which showed no faults so i checked the maf with a multi meter which showed it to be goosed. Rang Alyn at AS Performance at 3 oclock, maf was with me at 11oclock next morning, top service yet again and all for £85 delivered, Subaru wanted £102, were not prepared to price match and the best they could give me it for was £100, mega £2 off! Fitted it last night and the car is smooth and brilliant to drive. I will change the oil over the next couple of days then see about getting the exhaust fitted.
  2. Taken from the P1 owners forum "I tend to consider 1.02~1.04v as fine.. anything over I do an ecu reset to see if idle hunts etc etc the one the other day with 1.32v with engine off.. lol was deffo fooked! So with engine off & ignition on, check the voltage from your maf sensor Use a multi-meter, and put the - probe on the Black wire (2nd one across from left to right) and the + probe on the end wire Just push the probes down into where the wiring goes into the multi-plug
  3. If you have a multi meter you can test it
  4. The maf can go without throwing up a code. I just got one this morning from AS Performance, £85 delivered, only ordered at 3 oclock yesterday
  5. Yes, the very same stuff http://www.uk.pg.com/images/fairyPowerSprayPack_IL.jpg
  6. At the weekend i fitted the Ferodo DS2500 to the P1. When i had the wheels off the week before i had tried a few different things like autoglym tar remover to see if it would lift the dirty marks off the calipers, Nothing would shift. I asked on the owners club if anyone knew of any product that would shift them or was i just needing a tad more elbow grease. A reply came through telling me to "use Fairy Power Spray, seriously, try it out and thank me later". I thought, no chance, surely something available at Tesco's for £3.59 wouldnt work. Anyway, i got some and gave it a bash while the pads were being replaced. I was amazed how easily they scrubbed up. They look ten times better than they were. I then used some on one of the alloys and it came up much better aswell, result! Anyway, i just thought i would share that with you all. A long winded way of telling you that its worth getting.
  7. How much do these wheels sell for? Im looking to change my wheels so these will be for sale shortly, just need to find out a price, there in need of a refurb but not bad. Cheers Dan

  13. WOW!!! That looks mega!
  14. No probs. It might be a better option to ask for a refund and go elsewhere. Mind you, its surprising how quickly things turn up when you do ask for a refund
  15. Well i remembered your thread from the other day and it stuck in my head. Hope it gets sorted out for you soon. Infact, Alyn said mine should be here tomorrow so your welcome to the pads that im replacing if your still stuck?
  16. He was very helpful. I doubt if that is the spending over, need to get the car booked in for downpipe and centre section. I also got Sti rear lights, clear indicators and side repeaters, fitted them yesterday and its surprising how much cleaner the car looks with them on. Wheels next i think

  21. Today i was taking the discs off the P1 to give them a bit of a spring clean and noticed the front pads are quite worn, plus there red stuff which i dont really like. Any recommendations on what to go for. Ferodo DS2500, Performance Friction? Any others? Cheers Dan

  25. This is a lovely car, was for sale a few months ago and Jof decided to keep it, definetly going this time, hence the price of £4200, bargain! Going in the Autotrader this week i think. Brilliant car and you would have plenty of money left over for mods, beer, holiday =) http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtop...&hl=mckelvr
