Jim, First thing I would try is the MAF sensor. Get yourself some carb cleaner, dismantle the maf from the airfeed (do not poke anything inside it as it is just a small thin wire and breaks easily) and give it a REALLY good spray with the cleaner. Go make a cup of tea or visit your favourite porn site on the web, go back and give it another spray and put it back on. Have you done the diagnostics on the ECU to find why the CEL came on?
