  1. I don't think you have chosen the best time mate. We (Halliburton division) are laying off at the moment. think there will be a major downturn next year in drilling activity.

Thats one of the reasons I left the Drilling Survey side of things to go into the production side of it.

    Too many up's and downs

Get your CV and info onto Oilcareers.com and onto as many agencies as you can stand

    http://www.oilcareers.com/worldwide/

Just a thought, if you want bung me your CV, I can put it forward as we have been looking for an offshore chap.

Cant hurt trying can it ?

    I'll pm my e-mail addy

  2. It's called an Ambigram. Very clever indeed and both mother and father love it.

It only took an hour to do but that was the worst pain i have ever felt in my life. Could feel my rib cage vibrating. The tattoo artist that done it was covered but said he would never get his ribs done :P

I remember when I was gettin my back done :rotfl:

It's a strange feeling, when your spine is vibrating so much that you just want to cough, as your lungs are doing the same too

    Good one though Iain :P

    Whats next ????????????????????????????????

    :)

  3. Why should it matter what group they belong too?

Fair enough it’s a bit of a clodhopper of a group to join.

    But

Is it not EVERYONE’s right to do what they want (within reason) and to voice what they feel is their right too?

What if the English turn round and say that the SNP is racist and it should be banned?

Not too sure if that one works myself to be honest, but you can see where I'm coming from

And no I'm not a supporter of the BNP, just like to have a certain amount of freedom to do as I wish to is all

  4. Was quite a happy bunny the now, just thought I'd download the last couple of programs

as I'm stuck on a rig off Denmark the noo, with a few spare hours to maself

Guess fit, no joy !!!!!

Comes up saying as I'm not in the UK I cant download it.

I suppose it's down to TV licence and all that guff,

but I would of thought that the IP address from my laptop would be registered as UK based and therefore OK

Or have I been up too long the night (as in aint been to bed yet and I'm not on night shift, but shhhhh, it's ok)

  5. Ok thats a full week into owning a DSLR and i must say im diggin it. :D

Im still trying to work out what all the buttons and dials do but im getting there, here is a few from a wee walk round the cityquay today .....

The one of the life boat reminds me when I had to do the free fall course, Fookin ace it was too :D

At first I was poopin it and after the first one I thought it was a hoot :D

And that lass, well I call it a lass?

Is that a conquest of yours lad ????????

    :D;):o:D

  6. May be a silly question

Have you checked the pressure of them?

I had the Toyos on when I had the scoob and found them to be fine in most weather,

I've not long changed the tyres on my current car to Goodyear F1's and to start with I thought they were total pants.

I was even thinking of just binning them and getting a complete set of something else, and when your buying 18" at 275 they aint cheap

Now after a few more miles the tyres are into their zone, so to speak,

and last weekend I was taking the mick out of a front wheel drive car in the wet, not bad for a 5 series BMW :D

Just give them a chance to bed in a bit more, they should come good

  7. Have to admit i put mine on...................

But it's only the odd time when some dickhead in an Audi or BMW is sitting on my tale doing my nut in.

My front foggers don't work and to be honest i don't need them!!!

Just remember that not everyone who drives a BMW is a dickhead :occasion14:

  8. Its the Max Power nedtastic fireshow innit!

Buckfast, rough pole dancers, peeing rain, howling gale, drunk neds, bodykitted corsa's.......might pop along actually!

nowt wrong with a wee bit of Bucky lad

  9. Erm

Well, between me and my other half we have 4 cars :(

    BMW 525 tds for her

    BMW 528i Sport for me

VW Golf driver for transporting sh*te

1966 VW Camper for the hell of it

Admiral Multicar works quite well, 510 all in for the BMW's and SWMBO has only got 1 years NCB

  10. He he he, aye the holiday was a bit special, as in Red Dwarf "smug mode on" ;)

Not sure if I'll be going out of my way to go to another F1,

it was great fun, but if I had the choice I would rather go and see the Moto GP.

Deffo going to head over that side of the world again, the humidity was a wee bit too much for me though

but I was prepaired to put up with it

  11. Howdie folks

Just getting back to normal life after a truly wonderfull time away.

Decided not to post up in the f1 thread as theres a few other picks too.

Singapore was a blast but Bornoe was just out of this world, I can recomend it to anyone.

If you get the chance to go there, grab it with both hands and dont concern yourself with the cost untill later as you'll realise it's well worth it.

Heres a few picks from the F1 GP, It was the first one I've ever been to and to be honest I'm not sure if I would of went to one if it hadnt been on my door step, so to speak.

The atmosphere there was fantastic, well apart from some twonk 3 rows infront of me with a big stoopid flag, that would be waved every time Masa drove passed.

That was soon stopped !

Shant bore you with all the details as you've already seen it on telly

  12. Howdie folks

Just sitting in the hotel trying to book my flights back on line

What can I say FOOKIN AWWWSOME :icon_salut:;)

Yep the beers were a tad over priced but that has never stopped me before

Col, never seen you were thinking on flying over as I aint been online for a couple of weeks but there were a few touts kicking about, dont know how much they were wanting or if the tickets were real

Will post up a few picks when I get back to Aberdeen in the next few days

    Laters

    Still buzzin :D

  13. Now I have your full attention :D

I´ll soon be needing a lock up or garage of some description for a long term lease

and was wondering if any of you peeps may be able to help out ???

It would need to have a high entry as it will be for the camper, 6ft or over should be fine

Would prefer it to be located south of Aberdeen but am willing to go as far as need be (within reason)

    Any halp would be great

    Cheers
