I take it the laptop can see your wireless network but you just can't get internet access?
In Internet Explorer go to tools -> internet options -> connections -> LAN settings and make sure all the boxes are unticked. See if that helps.
Also try opening a command prompt and typing "ping www.google.co.uk" and see if you get results back.
Cheers big fella, twas the ticking of the boxes that did it
Thanks and a happy new beer

Just a quick one for you puter experts out there
Whilst I was offshore I decided to update my Internet Explorer
Now I cant log onto my wireless at home. I didnt have any problems logging onto the wirless offshore or at work when I was in yesterday.
I've deleted all the cookies, history and temp files, switched the compter and system off but still no joy.
I was wondering if it would be something to do with the security settings or owt?
I've no idea what I should be doing or have done as my home laptop connects to the internet no bother so it's not the system.
Any ideas folks?
Cheers
Steve

Wasn't it... holy crap the road were "fun" to drive.
Funny how I found the F1's "iffy" to drive with to start with but a few miles in and they are spot on.
Yep, had to collect me other half from town at 01:00 and drive back to Bervie in the floods
You know what Iain, I was wondering how you were getting on with the F1's as I feel the same.
Was going to bin them at first but now they are bedded in they're ace
Sorry for the hijack

I accidentally had the rear swinging out last night, didnt think I was going at any kind of speed, maybe just a bit early on the throttle exiting a roundabout. Scoob would have soared out the roundabout at a much higher speed. This was in the wet of course. Traction control flashing like buggery
Aye they can be a wee bit of a handfull in the wet untill you get to know when to ease the power in
But one thing the scoob could suffer from was 4wheel drift when pushed too far in the wet, where as the bmw you can steer with the right foot
And still get it wrong
Looks like mv2 alloys you have so guessing they will be 255/35 on the rear? I'm starting to get use to it now after getting a few tips from scientific steve. He's loving his 528.Yep, like driving a fast leather sofa, quite nimble in the corners too!
I'm running with 275's at the rear, the weather we had last weekend was fun

Better not try that in a Stewarty Milne house
You'd end up in the foundations, even if it was an lightweight RA-R

is it just me and my fuddled eyes or does the first pic look like a toy car?
I would of been tempted to go for a carbon effect one, looks kida fun
-
I can see both points of view here.
Another way to look at these kind of things is like this, yes they will shock you and for a while you may even slow down a bit.
But
How long will it take you to forget about the whole point and carry on as before?

Down the back of the harbour and around the bothy. Nice pics Wayne
Rich
Do you frequent there a lot Rich??
Are you trying to tell us something?

If you have 0 ncb some companies may give a 10-20% introductry discount (assuming you have no accidents), therefore that would explain the difference.
I can assure you they don't just make the prices up, i can post lots of very boring formulas if you like to show how they are worked out. (as BMWhere pointed out)
BMWhere - lack of regulations? Don't get me started there!!! Everything we do is regulated by the FSA
Moley don’t take this personally, as I had a great deal through yourself when I had my scoob
But as Barmy posted how come the insurance companies can come up with ever decreasing amounts when as a customer you say that you’re not taking their offer?
Should it not just be a case of one offer, best one, take it or leave it?
Why fa**y about with different amounts and get customers annoyed by spending hours on the end of a phone or searching on the computer?

Thanks for the pics etc. Can anyone tell me why this set up is dangerous? I mean I have an idea of what people would say, but I'd like to hear it from wise heads
It’s due to the fact that the harness strap is going straight down and has no effect in stopping you from travelling forward in an accident.
Just think of a ruler standing on its end, straight up, push it over and it will topple forward.
Now, if you have it on its flat it wont move, same idea as you’ve fitted your harness, it will move forward as its straight up
Hope that makes sence

Nae luck min .....Hope you can get your stuff back.
Just get someone to grass you up for some dodgy porn on your computer
then just leave it up to the cops to get all your stuff back
Maybe not the best way but it's the cheapest
