  1. Those are nuts - can you imagine trying to clean the inside of them.............................[] Dave
  2. Thanks Bandit - me too! [] Dave
  3. Yeah those are nice figures. What mods do you have to achieve those then? Dave
  4. That's correct mate they are the 114.3 PCD. Please PM me if you are potentially intersted in them. Ta Dave
  5. Cal - The "old" alloys are sitting in my garage waiting to be sold according to the Mrs - I'd like to keep them but i don't think she'll let me...........[]. You know of anyone that would be interested?? Thanks mate for the kind words - I like the way you think. Both are on my wish list although I'm not too sure about the carbon fibre stick-on insert...........looks a little too stuck on maybe............[:^)] Nope mate I am further out than that - but not much. A Stewart Milne house...............and it's been really good. Ah sorry mate I never clocked another scooby - I was probably too busy playing with my launch control. How did you get on? Nice figures? Thanks for that mate - it was time for a change...............[] Dave
  6. The car is running really well. It is Russ at Wallace Performance that has been doing my mapping. He is very thorough and takes the time to go through everything with me. She made 332bhp and 318lbs.ft of torque on the last run we did. A little down on torque from the previous run but that is due to the fact we where experiencing turbo compressor surge when plumbing in 1.5bar of boost mid range as the turbo was spooling in 5th and 6th gears (I have the same setup as the WR1 - EcuTek had the same problem on the WR1 map so they had to limit the boost as the turbo was spooling). In other words the standard turbo was saying no thanks at full throttle in 5th and 6th gears as the turbo was spooling. So I have lost 14lbs.ft of torque but the car runs great in all 6 gears not just 4 as previously. Not too bad for the level of mods I have. Dave PS: not in Craig and your league's, but fun never the less.
  7. Was there any difference between the Sti8 and 9 with the shock absorbers?? Dave
  8. I haven't weighed them but from when they were being fitted it seemed identical............ The car is running Prodrive springs and the prodrive geometry setup. So slightly lower than standard but not a huge amount - I need to be able to get over speed bumps with my lip spoiler. Dave
  9. I finally managed to get my new wheels on the car, dual EcuTek switchable maps, LAUNCH control and Prodrive geometry setup. Car is going an absolute treat. 8x18" BBS CH's with Goodyear Eagle F1's 225/40/18 - Going for the S203 look.........[] As she was............... And now...............Mmmmm I think you'll all agree that it totally changes the look of the car. I am rather chuffed. Dave
  10. Yes it is possible - but requires a lot of work hence why most tuners haven't done them yet. I am going to have a lower boost map put in for the Mrs.............[] Her request I might add - plus whenever it goes back to the dealership it would appear totally normal in terms of power. Dave
  11. John, Keep us posted as I should be around for this one. Plus I'll have the Prodrive geometry setup, Dual EcuTek3 Map switching and new alloys on the car..................[] Dave
  12. Yeah in the dry - but [] in the wet....................... Dave
  13. Do you have a WRX or an STi and what age? If it is a newage STi there has been a well documented problem with the Eibach springs not fitting properly and making a banging noise in the front suspension. The WRX's don't seem to be affected. Or at least that is what I seem to remember about the situation. I am sure that someone will be along soon with the full story/answer to your problem. I would recommend Prodrive springs if you want a nice complient ride and good handling or Tiens if you want to go really low and don't mind the more harsh ride quality. Dave
  14. Ouch dude that's gotta hurt.........................£800-ish for both of ours. Dave
  15. Thanks mate it was loverly day for a few photos and they came out quite nicely. I just can't get over the difference in the colours.......................... Dave
  16. As always[] - you can remove them if you don't want them on there M8.....I won't mind[:'(] Russell No mate I think they look good on the side of the car - don't worry your advertising is safe! [] Dave
  17. If she lets you mate[] Craig I know...................[:'(] Dave
  18. If you are wanting to swap rear lights then i am your man, as I think they would go fantastically on my crystal grey STi9. I am in Aberdeen also so just let me know if you want to change your lights - apparently it is a straight swap. Dave
  19. Ta guys they do look good - well I think so anyway. Having said that I am considering a set of S204 BBS alloys - the Mrs is going to kill me...............[:$] Dave
  20. I think that Wuz would approve of the advertising - but they do look good in black on the crystal grey car IMHO. And Craig you obviously have far to much experience of touching farm yard animals....................dirty boy [] I wish that Ginja Ninja (Dave E) had been video taping the run on the back road so I could have witnessed the flame action - never mind there is always next time I suppose [:'(] Dave
  21. Love you too Craig................big hugs and kisses [] Dave
  22. Thanks mate it was a loverly day for a few piccies and then a good drive on the back roads before uploading the pictures. Dave
  23. We thanks you kind sir. The lassie in the first car park gave us a few dodgie looks to almost say you numpties but apart from that we were unmolested.......[] D n D
  24. As the title suggests we had two semi-clean cars and a nice day so a few photos were called for. Or so we thought anyway! My Car - STi9 (327.5 bhp & 333.0 lbs.ft) Ginja Ninja's Car - Prodrive WRX9 (249 bhp & 244 lbs.ft) And then we decided to go for a wee blast and got them really dirty.........................oh well! The WRX was difficult to loose on the back road, but that may have something to do with the headcase driving it..............[6] Dave n Dave
  25. Ta for the positive comments guys. The torque increase is really noticeable and she does pull very well now - not quite in Craig Mac's teritory but quick none the less. In terms of in gear driveability the car is transformed with the mods that Wuz installed for me due to the 36ft.lbs torque increase over the last level of tune. Russ at Wallace Performance gave me the choice of either keeping the high level of torque or reducing that to give more bhp - so in the end I thought that for the type of driving I do the torque would come in handy. Hopefully with a tank of V-Power and the ecu re-learnt (increasing the advance multiplier) she should release a few more ponies and ft.lbs of torque - so bring on the next rolling road day............[] All I can say is that I have had a very positive experience again using Wallace Performance - Russ really does take his time and has no problems explaining the mapping options to you. So then Phil what mods you got planned????? Dave
