  1. Hi STImulation,

I got to the bottom of the cam sensor / misfire , one of the diodes on the alternator had gone down so now she is running great , i just have a couple of little jobs to do , ac controls the off button doesnt work , i do have a new control to fit (or swap the button) and it is now smelling of fuel in the cabin so fuel leak somewhere i guess.

Then who knows, the way work is it might be time to downsize the fleet will see

  2. I wonder if anyone can assist me .

I am trying to fill out my registration information for my car now its had its first mot but i cant seem to find my emmisions data anywhere so i dont know what the tax bracket is .

Has anyone else had any dealings with first registration forms

    Any assistance would be apreciated

  3. Not really an introduce yourself as i did that a while back but my car arrived just from japan and i wanted to introduce her

    A 2003 legacy b4 rsk s-edition

I dont suppose anyone would know what the brackets are for on the 3rd picture ? They are stuck to the back window i wondered about a spoiler but seem a bit low for that

  4. I wasnt planning on just adding any old digits , i was more interested in wether dvla were happy to use the jdm system in its current format or wether they allocated their own system in order to make it into a 17 digit uk standard , eg maybe have the applied model code in front of the number and include hyphens or something similar

  5. I am in the process of importing my car and have been looking at insurance etc

Whilst doing this i realised that the car doesnt have the standard 17 character vin so my question is can i make it into a 17 number vin or do i just leave it and only put on the paperwork the 10 digits of the chassis number that i have

What do you guys have on your log books?

    Thanks

  6. Hi all.

I havnt been on here for a good few years now since i had an early m reg silver wrx which i went to japfest in with the group and then a p reg sti type r in sonic blue , both of which died after i had to sell , the wrx died under a couple of tonnes of scaffolding and the type r , p 927 yae was stripped and broken

But after about 4 years away i have now moved back to what i love in the form of a legacy b4 rsk s-edition , may or may not be a keeper as its an auto but we will see in about 6 weeks when she gets to the uk !!

I loom forward to chatting with you all

  7. i believe it will but unless you happen to have a full turbo car there , ecu , wiring , engine , brakes etc then it is a very expensive swap , probably easier (and cheaper) to buy a turbo since that is what you will be insuring anyway.

  8. the engine code does confirm that its a wrx wagon MY98.But the wrx wagon is meant to have a TD04 but mines got a VF29(as far as i know the STI saloons had VF29s )and nobody seems to know what my ECU is :brickwall::brickwall::brickwall:

i have tried looking into ecu types before so i could get information on mine but it seems like there are a million and one different ecus fitted to the same type of car , i didnt get anywhere , i even tried to start a subject about listing ecus and the car they were fitted to to try and narrow it down but nobody seemed to be that intersted so didnt get anywhere

  9. my scoob

i agree , :iagree: my scoob definately , my last memory of driving would have to be my favourite , the only trouble with picking a different car to use is u might not actually like it if you have never driven one before , just imagine how disappointing that would be! :icon_hang:

  10. Cheers for the reply.

    This any use http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170595642344&fromMakeTrack=true

Think this is an electrical gauge from looking up the interweb. Another site mentioned boost sensor, harness and link controller for these gauges but no mention of these in the ebay add. Ive contacted the seller. Wait and see.

i hope it is electrical otherwise it is slightly broken as the needle is stuck on vacuum , i have an electrical gauge on mine and it seems to work fine , i purposly bought a digital one so i could take it apart and fit the digital screen to the clocks under the speedo next to the knocklink so dont need a pod

    just another idea for ya!

  11. If i remember right the boy said it used to be a 1.6 saloon

shame we didnt have the model code and all the guessing would stop , or the chassis number , whatever it is i think the 'bitsa' tag is very accurate and it is one of them that you would warn your kids about!

STAY AWAY , STAY A LONG WAY AWAY !!
