  1. Looks like I have been pipped to it.
  2. I'm an ex blobeye owner from a few years ago that used to post on here and I'm thinking about buying a classic to get back into it again. Still debating a UK model or an Import but does anyone know anything about this one that has come up for sale in Aberdeen? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1999-SUBARU-IMPREZA-...A1%7C240%3A1318
  3. Has anyone else found this tonight. I sent one PM and ended up with 40 bits of it in my inbox. I now cant find any of my recent PM's.
  4. I thought I was doing well getting a quote for a standard classic for £309 with More Than
  5. I'm going to look at 1998 uk turbo this weekend (private sale) and I was just wondering what to look out for apart from the obvious. My previous scoob was bought when it was only eighteen months old and it was bought from a dealer so I'm obviously a bit more nervous this time.
  6. A lot of questions but christ have I got a lot of learning to do. Thanks for the link to the ra forum, it had a lot of info on it.

  8. Hi, I've been away from scooby ownership for about 16 months since I sold my black mica 2003 blobeye and bought a BMW 320D. I am now considering buying a cheap i.e less than £5K classic for a weekend/ occasional weekday runner. I can't believe some of the prices that you can pick up some of the jap imports for now. Anyway I'm not ruling out a UK model yet but an import could be better bhp for the money although I know very little about the jap imports except the very basics but I always fancied an ra version. I've seen ra's for about the £4K mark and wrx's for around £3.5K. I possibly might take it on the track in the next couple of years and I'm not bothered about air con and stuff so would an ra be a good buy ? What is the differences between the ra and the sti and the wrx apart from the diff control (don't know what year this came on an ra), water spray (don't know what this is anyway) and a fifth injector (again what is this) ? I've read so many articles of cars with the big ends gone etc, is this because they have been running with a higher boost or is this because of the wrong fuel grade being used. I need to think carefully about this in terms of jap versus uk models, I really don't want to be spending thousands running it when it is only going to be used occasionally. Oh its good to be back, well nearly.[]

  12. Well Im travelling to Lancashire on the train on Friday to look at a 320 diesel so here goes for a new and less exciting chapter to my motoring life.
  13. I have for sale 1 X Forrester Flap 1 X ISO Adaptor 1 X Aerial Adaptor All to suit Newage Impreza and all items are 6 weeks old, I don't really want to post these so pick them up from me in Dumbarton. Can email picture if required. Before I stick them on ebay best offer over £20. P.M or phone 07787152512
  14. Sadly thats my Scoob away via Halleys to a new owner from the South side of Glasgow, he traded in a classic scoob so at least I know it has went to a good home. Im now looking for diesel 3 series or A4 but Im not going to rush in. It doesn't seem the same going from a Subaru to any other car, I just don't get the same feeling but at the end of the day I can't handle the low twenties to the gallon anymore.
  15. Car now provisionally sold through a helpful dealer, hankies will be required on Thursday night for my wee boy, my wife and I.
  16. Very reasonable and a good job, I told him I would give him a mention on here. He was half the price of two of the quotes I got !
  17. For the Glasgow area I phoned a few places and acci- dent was the cheapest. I had two small car park dings and Brian removed them easily. I would recommend him 07889 900661.
  18. Fantastic post
  19. I thought it was a decent price, probably £2K cheaper than a dealer. What do you think ?
  20. Thanks Brian, I've still not made up my mind 100 % yet but I might as well test the water. If I don't sell it I might go down the modding road as all the modded cars seem to get better mpg than me.
  21. Just in case someone on the forum knows anyone that may be looking for a newage WRX. Link to for sale section
  22. Thats exactly why I've not done the track day thing.
  23. Thanks that was one of the sizes that was listed. How did you find the bosch blades ?
  24. Does anyone know the correct size of front wipers for a new age ? I was looking at Bosch wipers on Ebay but they are all listing different sizes for 2000 onwards. When I changed mine last year they were a slightly different size so I have nothing to measure now.
