  1. I've been lurking on here for years. I post up now and again when i've got something useful (in my mind anyway) to say. I don't feel the need to post up "that's nice" or "that's shite". I'm kind of out of the loop nowadays with the car being sorned and lots of the members from my time have moved on anyway.

I'll keep on lurking though

  2. My sister has an iphone 4 and loves it, she's had various forms of them for years.

I've got an Htc sensation, my son has an Htc Desire S and the wife has a Samsung Galaxy ace. The quality of the Htc is much better than the Samsung and the Htc operating skin over android is much nicer too.

The battery on my sensation is terrible though but i doubt you'll get any smart phone to last any great length of time.

Finally i think you'll pay more for an iphone initially and monthly than the equivalent android.

    Kev.

  3. Socks are purely a get you home item, from what i've found out they'll disintegrate on bare tarmac. winter tyres on a set of cheap rims is the way to go, they may look pish but not as pish as the car upside down in a field if it spins out.

  4. I am taking it down to Cornwall next week and back so that will be a very good test of it's long term economy :)

    Brian.

Where about in cornwall do you head for? We're just back from St Agnes, had a week down there. We did about 1500 miles in the week and got near enough 50mpg in the saab.

  5. Very nice car, went to look at the previous shape one a couple of months ago. Unfortunately still out of my price range at the moment, maybe next time.

Keep us updated on the mpg, is your driving motorway or town?

  6. Mines been parked up for over a year now, it owes me nothing and i'd get next to nothing for it as it's a scabby uk turbo but it's never missed a beat in 7 years so i've figured it'll stay put until i can afford to run it again.

So i'll go with the general view and say keep it.

  7. Did this last year too and thought it was overpriced, plus i had 2 other cars out at the same time as me and they were considerably slower so i kept having to stop and wait as they wouldn't let us past. Got to the end and the instructor said "well done, now i'll take you round in a hot lap" To which i replied "is that it? do i not get any more laps" I felt somewhat cheated by it all and the instructor crashed off

  8. Has anyone had an intercooler repaired or is it even possible to do this?

It's on my wifes Grand Vitara, it has split open along the bottom and a load of fins are bent. I've tried the motor factors for a replacement but it seems to be a dealer only item at £400

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Kev

  9. Can't see how they should be able to fob you off, If you've got a leak or poor workmanship which is causing damage they should repair it. Take off the bath panel and put the shower on and show them the water passing the seal.

Bear in mind if your floor under the laminate is chipboard, it may well be damaged too as could the insulation under that.

Condensation causing damage to lam floor in a new build is a load of p*sh. Maybe get that sort of damage in an old damp property over a long period.

  10. Looks good :)

I think that is a good price because Richer Sounds have it for much the same and they can be cheaper a lot of the time.

No Richer Sound near me or john Lewis, in fact there is sod all here except currys or comet.

  11. I'm positive Cosco have a deal on this month offering a further £100 off some 42 & 37 inch TV's

They do but it's the model below the one i want. With their discount on it i'm sure it's about £20 cheaper than i could find it online. Might give them a phone and see if they're doing the one i want.
