Can anyone tell me the basic differences between the wrx and the sti for a 2003 bugeye type. Having taken my wrx up to 292 BHP I am trying to decide if I shoud swap it for an sti or keep upping the power on the wrx.. Option 1 - Swap for sti - This would mean loosing £££ in depreciation and spending more £££ to get an sti, but would i have a better car than the wrx i have just now. It was only 17000 miles and standard when I got it and I know its been looked after and modified correctly. Option 2 - Keep the wrx - spend £££ adding sti bits with the probability of wrx bits brakeing when bhp is increased. Al

No you dont need to run a seperate wire to the battery, just connect the yellow on your alpine loom to the yellow on the autoleads adaptor. The yellow is always +12v even when the car is turned off. If you need any help and your near glenrothes pm me your number Al

Its not illegal to have no cats as long as the car meets the emission level required to pass its mot, not just on the mot day but all year round.. My insurance company told me they would insure me with a full decat because its not illegal. However they said if i made a claim the wouldnt pay out because the car "probably" wouldnt pass an emissions test and as a result the car wouldnt be roadyworthy, therefore the MOT would become invalid, and without an MOT the insurance would become invalid. Its one way they can insure you but refuse to make a payout. Al
