Depends on the insurer. Some will not touch any mods, others will. I would imagine that you would not have too many issues but I would phone your insurance company before getting the work done to avoid a situation I was put in where I phoned up fater the mods were done andthe insurer cancelled the policy immediately leaving me a little in the lurch....

I just bought 4 T1-S from Ronnie at wheels around. Can't remember the price but it was good. I actually bought 5 tyres as I ripped the sidewall on one after three days :mad;

Those who PM'd for prices should have a little check together to ensure you are getting the same price. Call me cynical but I can't think of a good reason to not post the GB price on here.......

I'm not interested myself but people will wan't to know what year model it is.

Well I disagree with you on the legality issue. I do not believe it is clear cut 'illegal' in Scotland. Check out this link for further information: http://www.radardetectors.co.uk/radar_detector_law.htm << Scotland The above case has not been tried in the Scottish courts but it has set a precedent which we believe would be followed. Radar detectors are widely sold and used in Scotland. >>
-
The ruling, if I recall correctly, was as follows. Police were prosecuting drivers caught with radar detectors with teh data communications act that states that it is illegal to tap into a data stream that is not intended for you (ie hacking). It was later successfully argued in court that a radar detector does not tap into the data stream, mearly detects its presence therefore was not eligable for prosecution. This was agreed by the judge and since then there has been no prosecutions for radar detector use in England and Scotland. This is why the proposed Road Safety bill next year will make them illegal by tightening up the law. Unless your saying that new bill doesn't apply to Scotland?? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4333671.stm#
-
Umm, radar detectors are not illegal in Scotland..... yet. My understanding was that the ruling against the data communications act was just as relevant to scotland as england. I'd appreciate further info on why they are illegal in scotland. The police have never bothered me with mine before.....

The Bell Euro 550 is a great radarlaser detector. It gets a big thumbs up from me. Check eBay for purchasing but only buy models that the guys here give good reports about. If you see a cheap detector on eBay I will bet you it's crap

You guys need to start playing Live For Speed on the PC. It's a true driving simulator with proper automated online record keeping. It only costs £12 but you really need a steering wheel to be able to play. It even has options for clutch control for people with really expensive wheel & pedal sets
-
How many Scottish boys are playing GT4 today then
sKunk replied to spooks's topic in Scottish Scoobies
I have a new PS2 and GT4 sitting in teh house waiting for me to finish work. BTW, Toys R Us are selling PS2 wheel & pedal sets for £20 apparently.
