  1. was speaking to Dunc earlier today about a little project and while we were chatting he was telling me about a deal that they are running for the month of March.....

as it says in the title, the deal is on droplinks, basically they are doing a set of front and rear alloy drop links supplied and fitted for £100.....if you have this done, you are also get free entry into a raffle to have a full geometry set up done at Whiteline(which normally costs in the region of £250). if you win the raffle then whiteline are also throwing in some other freebies as well.....

grab a bargain while stocks last....either phone Hypertech on 01324 812212 or email them on enquiries@hypertechscotland.co.uk

  2. cheers baz. but where is sw motorsport?

scott, how much did the work cost?

cheers so far for the advice guys B)

sky is the limit when it comes to cost mate....really depends how far u want to push it, worth giving alan a phone for a chat on options, even if u dont end up going with him, am sure u will find him very helpful....

  3. Same here mate. Freaking joke. Which one of yours is needing fixed? I have ordered a set of springs from Revolution and he also quoted me over £200 per shock - which is more expensive per unit that a new set. Foolishly enough, I have orded Tein springs :whistle:

near side rear mate, seal away and theres a wee hairline crack in it too ....

  4. I think I would be getting Duncan to talk to Graham at Whitleline as they are offering a cracking set of coilovers, Jac has them fitted to his along with Jim in his old bugeye and Higgy, only heard good things about them. Sorry I cant remember the name of them

    Graeme

already spoken to dunc mate, weve got a few options, still a pisser to have to buy another set for the sake of 1 shockie thats needing refurbed tho....

stewartyboy, do u have a phone number for them??

    scott

  5. spoken to what is meant to be 1 of the main tein dealers/service centre in the uk, to repair a shockie is taking approx 6 weeks - a service centre that cant repair it on site and have to send it back to japan to be sorted, and the customer pays for the privilige of sending it over there and having at sent back.....£258 plus vat and carriage for 1 shock.....:rolleyes:

  6. i got some today in the shell next to pc world in edinburgh, the girl behind the counter said they were 1 of the last in scotland with any left and that they were nearly out......she said that there was a mistake made with 1 of the additives to the fuel and its caused a massive problem, they have been told 2-3 weeks for fresh stock apparently..........

    scott

  7. Well they are both true, But I should have put more emphasis on "SHOULD" perhaps italics or bold might have helped....

yes, i would say both parts of ur statement are true - they should hold a stock of all the parts they might need, and they def are not much use......

  8. Many people learn this the hard way, buying Jap shocks generally turns out this way.

Happy to sell in this country, but no support.

    ---john---

learning hard way now too john, as u say, there is NO support...we contacted the main tein supplier who are supposed to be a "service centre" for them as well, useless, turnaround approx 4-6 weeks, could be longer as they dont hold parts in stock and normally have to send to japan, what a joke........got no option but to wait on the repair, its sh*te....

    scott

  9. thanks guys. Scott, did Dunc give you an idea how much it will cost? Can't believe that there's not a service centre locally that can do it. If Id know that, I'd have avoided them like the plague.

he thought it would be about £100.....not sure how bad mine is to be honest, i will b v angry if it takes any longer than quoted time, i am getting them to phone dunc once they have the shock there and assessed it before they start the work.....

dipsy, how much were u for bc's if u dont mind me asking and how long did it take for delivery?

    scott

  10. Hi All

Another set of Tein COs bite the bullet. My NSR shocker is goosed and the OSR is on its way out too.

What's the procedure for getting these sorted? Do they have to go back to Tein or is there somewhere more local who can do it?

I still have standard suspension in the garage, but I don't fancy driving around on jelly stilts, so I think I will stick on a set of lowering springs with these.

    Any advice appreciated.

    JW

my nsr away as well mate, hope the rest are ok....speak to duncan at hypertech, mines are being sent away to be overhauled......they take about 5-10 days to do apparently, unless they have to order parts from japan, in which case its a lottery how long it might take.....

    regards

    scott

  11. Aye it was John @ JKP that done my RB320 Scott. Results were top drawer! John knows his stuff and had my car looking mint.

he did do a good job with yours jamie, pity u keep polishing it with ur cat tho......

  12. thanks for the replies guys, that gives me a few options, bobby, u just reminded me about mark, sure ive got his number.... think that JKP is the place that did jamie's rb320 and it came back mint....
