  1. I have heard a few things similar mate this one isnt just down to experience its down to the place you went. I enquired about a scoob there and it was 14k for a 94 - just basically got rudeness, in the meantime my post on another forum asking what they were like got removed because of the responses Have u given up searching ? Try JVS or even newera - im going through newera just now and I can safely say its the best service I HAVE EVER HAD !! - they have a nice sti in just now worth a look its well under 10 k and Miguel is a complete star !
  2. Spot on I was too busy being a passenger in the WR1 to get any video or pictures from outside Just got to download on a 56k line now tick tock tick tock tick tock 10k...........................................................................................................................20k lol
  3. Good day out - Charles think we had a chat - I was tired looking bloke who is getting the skyline sorry if I seemed a bit random and spoke cr*p 2 hrs sleep and a 2 hr run does that to you and I was busy getting wound up about getting in the passenger seat. Was in the passenger seat of the wr1 on track - first time that car has been out on track and well first time out for the driver ever...on track in anything so I was V impressed not only with the driving but the car, and felt that it couldnt of gone better and there are some rather large limits to explore in that thing yet. All credit to gee who put in a good show considering its first time out and im looking forward to next yr when more experience will count im sure he will be giving some more people much more of a run for the money, this time round it was feel for the track and take it a bit easy on the car... Nice to meet some more people as well and I loved the noise and performance some of the scoobs were making out there its very tempting to come back to the scoob fold. Oh aye and got to drive the WR1 !!! - erm round the car park but hey it counds lol
  4. Hi Jools, Feels weird being the first to reply to this one and waiting for a skyline But would welcome any meet up in the Inverness area - we have a great karting track out at Invergordon (cheap too) myself and Geewr1 were out there last night. I think that the lack of events and meets in the area lets down the fact that there are many good cars and people around. I miss the scoob because I have missed meeting alot of you and I would jump at the chance of helping, participating or generally making a fool of myself with rear wheel drive or otherwise and meeting more cracking folk. Also think that some nice events meets off the road would be a great idea - more than up for doing that I think planning in advance is also a good thing as being the Highlands and Aberdeen it takes time for people to organise themselves (cant even get out the door on time me). But it would also be nice to see some commitment as no offence but sometimes there seems to be a poor response - hence organised events can cater for that happening. Think ur also 100% with the offshore folk and ad-hoc meetings, maybe a wee communication network might help that work a bit better (are there any text alert facilities we can use for instance). Since im not a member "gulp" and have only met a few of u will leave it at that - but shout anytime if u need help ! K
  5. Alright Carl - yes gtst so back wheel drive, some serious mods going on under the bonnet too so should be interesting. What u planning for urs ??? Liam took me out in one and convinced me that its the right car for me, with Liam driving mind u a micra would be quick.... Was going to source one through him but as u can see from the pic I couldnt resist this one - but he is going to be doing my normal work for me, wouldnt go anywhere else - ever at all, ever, ever As for skyline VS scoob well......"ponders" both got the noise factor but ultimately different driving experiences, I have mucho respect for them after feeling it driven quick by someone who knows what they are doing. The GTR is another proposition to the GTST - but both are so easy to tune to big power its silly. At end of the day though "put flame suit on" I reckon scoobs these days are quicker out of the box - the problem with a skyline is that u never know what its running as its just silly money to put on a few bhp. I think its down to preference, me I loved my classic, but I like top end, for the money I couldnt touch ur WR1 or even a P1 or newer shape. Instead I got a beast of a car that looks different, but at the same time I wish I had the cash to do a 2.5 conversion on a classic
