  2. Anyone got a rear seat - just the bench part you sit on - for my 2000 classic? Spilt a drop of creosote , yes creosote , on mine some time ago [:$] and despite constant cleaning its still stained and smells a bit when its been parked up! Wondered if anyone had one before going the breakers route []

  4. Silver classic in Welling about midday then mid-afternoon parking up at the Stables pub in Danson Park, followed by a blue new age wagon that passed me as I was just parking outside home about 530.

  10. We were lucky - he could have been wearing his Freddie Mercury fishnets.....unless he had them on underneath his trousers! Lin said she didn't know he knew where the hoover was, let alone how to use it.
  11. It goes to show that he must only use grecian 2000 on his eyebrows and not on his head - perhaps he can't buy it in bulk lol
  12. We said it sounded a good price - its obviously to lure you in at which point they hit you with the numbers they do have by which time you're so determined to buy a cherished plate you fall for their prices. Shame though Ian as it would have made a nice set with the other guys. You can buy my no. if you want then change your first, middle and surname so its personal to the plate lol
  13. Sounds like something out of a lads mag []
  14. As far as I can determine we need to make sure we each have the following - spare bulbs, GB sticker, warning triangle , 1st aid stuff, paperwork (registration documents , mot, insurance ) driving licence and I believe, a hi-vis jacket or vest and oh yes, cash to cover any on-the-spot fines lol Also tickets and credit card they were paid with . We probably don't need to each carry a triangle or 1st aid kit and no doubt someone will point out anything else we'll need ! Iknow that most of this is common sense but thought I'd chuck it in as a reminder guys and gals []
  15. i've got 2 walkie talkies for loan if required. Thanks Dean - looks like we'll all have one now lol You going to Notcutts on the Friday?
  16. Sheepie knew it would be all-clear as soon as the doctor removed his instrument
  17. Mr Blackadder, theres a slug balanced on your top lip. Oi, El Gringo, who ate all the doritos? They're the same shape as his eyebrows - must have Lin tweezer them all at the same time

  22. got a mobile but no walkie talkie - whats everyone else got? only 6 cars going so hopefully we can keep together - will try to sort out maps of some sort or another and hand them out either on the Friday or the day itself.
  23. Are we still going to this? if so what time we leaving etc
  24. As its less than a fortnight away I thought I'd detail the present plans for the day. We need to check-in at Eurotunnel at 07:28 for our 07:58 Shuttle - we can either meet in the terminal or convoy down from Notcutts in which case I would suggest we meet up for a 06:45 departure, giving enough time at the terminal for a coffee, picking up a paper, funny money etc etc. The Shuttle should get us en France [sn] at 09:33 local time. I propose that we then drive south-east towards Arras, a distance of about 80 miles so if we go direct we should be there for just gone 11. Arras has two cobbled squares lined with 17/18th century houses, an historic town hall, arcades, restaurants and bars. I also believe Saturday may well be market day. Plan on parking up and spending time here 'sightseeing' and having lunch. We could then move on across country westwards towards Montreuil and then head north along the coast road towards the Shuttle - this is about another 105 miles. There are some nice restaurants along that coast road where we could stop for an evening meal. We need to check-in for our return shuttle at 21:03 so if we get back to the terminal say by 20:00 it gives us time for duty-frees ,coffees, toilet etc. These are my general thoughts which we could tailor on the day although I'm not intending to spend ages arguing the toss about where we go, what we do and so on. We all have our own tickets so if people are really unhappy about the plans they're free to do their own thing although that would be a shame as its possibly our first club venture abroad. Would be glad to receive constructive comments or critisism from anyone thats going. Please make sure you have all the required travel documents for yourself and your car and everything else that the [sn] people insist we have to take. Assuming everyone booked on line remember that when you produce your booking confirmation at the terminal you must produce the credit card it was booked on. Sit back now and await comments...............
