Apart from changing the d/v, air filter and exhaust mines a bog-standard 00 classic and I run mine on V-Power . My work journey is only about 12 miles each way but in traffic (stop-start along the Old Kent Road coming home at night) and I reckon I'm getting about 26/27 mpg so your figures seem about the same.
