Ha bloody Ha [] -
An old'un..............two fat blokes sitting at the bar. One says to the other " you're round" to which the second guy replies "....and you're a fat basta*d"
-
Agree with Glen - can't go wrong with Dean [Y] Has serviced mine for past 18 months. He used to be a Scooby owner then turned all foreign and bought an Audi TT

Although its perhaps a bit early to have received tickets, I can't see that the money has gone out yet either and wondering if Prodrive never in fact received the application. Hows everyone else doing?

[8-)] he says he's all booked up Barry [:$] I read it that Eurotunnel was all booked up - so who's a silly rrrrrrrse then -
You weren't the only one Fuzzy m8 - met similar apathy from the Kent crowd. However I wasn't willing to go it alone and bid for it.

Are you sure Dan?.......I've just been right the way thro the Eurotunnel on-line booking procedure, save for inputting my card details and its allowing me to book both outward and return journies without any problems. Will try to complete the booking when I get home from work and have my card to hand - will post up accordingly to let you know how I got on. -
Get that beer in for you at Fridays meet at the Wharf ok. Sadly I won't be there as I'm working so have a word with Ian lol

its on the B2042[] Found the pub and had a good evening, thanks Mark. General feeling that perhaps this should be considered as an alternative to Notcutts if there's going to be ongoing problems with letting children in?
-
Looks like 6 o'clock it is then. Have just found Markies pub on a map - its Goathurst Common, near Ide Hill. Its only about 1/2 hour from the Wharf so we can perhaps go straight there or have a ride out first. Discuss...................perhaps decide when we meet. Bye for now.

its on the B2042[] Thanks Mark....believe thats the road that runs up next to that Riverhead school with the grass on the roof then heads off behind Ide Hill. Thats very much the area I suggested initially but intended to approach from Sundridge / Chart Lane. Only looks as if there's going to be 5 cars going so shouldn't be too much hassle parking up wherever we end up.

Can I just confirm then that we're meeting at the Wharf at 6 o'clock.

Bonjour, mes amis . Here we go then, proposed plans for the day. For those that like to convoy to the Shuttle, we'll meet at Notcutts travel down the M20 and pick up the 07:50 train - we need to check in 30 minutes beforehand so probably looking to be away from Notcutts no later than 06:45 . This then allows a little time at the terminal for those that need toilets / pick up newspapers / [C] / euros etc etc The shuttle arrives at 09:25 local time. Proposal is to head south towards Boulogne on the A16 and there to pick up the N1 continuing south towards Samer and on to Montreuil . Stay on the N1 ,skirting the Crecy Forest ,before reaching our final destination Abbeville. The distance from the shuttle is around 70 miles so even allowing for a [C] en-route, we should be there by midday, in time for [pi] lunch and a bit of sightseeing. If we aim to be away from Abbeville by 15/16:00 we could travel back perhaps stopping at Le Crotoy (which has a fishing harbour / beach) or Crecy Forest (picnic areas) , before picking up the D940 coast road north via Le Touquet, Boulogne , Wimereux and ultimately the shuttle terminal. Would propose return journey on the 21:50 local time, arriving home at 21:25. Subject to the homeward run, we could probably factor in time for duty-frees. The plans can be fine-tuned on the day subject to the weather etc but generally I'm hoping we could stick very much to these proposals unless anyone can spot any glaring problems. If anyones unhappy on the day , you'll have your own tickets so will be free to go off independently. Last years trip went without any setbacks so no reason why we shouldn't have as much fun this year. Hope this is useful for anyone planning to stop overnight. Would suggest that places be booked on the shuttle asap. The return costs should be £54 per car and occupants although don't know how this will be affected for anyone stopping overnight. Also bear in mind that the Tour de France is passing through Kent to Canterbury on the Sunday. If either of the proposed shuttles is full please book the next nearest one available and we'll regroup near the French terminal . Finally PLEASE make sure you have all your personal and car documents and other stuff that is required in place before we travel. Merci. -
[Y] Well spotted Glen.......and you've only been a member here for a short while

Why I don't use public transport.............

One of the London tour companies will probably buy it up to add to its fleet of open-toppers -
Didn't see number 094 on there by any chance Monty? [][] Wasn't that the one that was hanging off the back of the transporter scraping along the ground [] We'd assumed that you'd had a factory-fitted flamer fitted it was giving off soooooooo many sparks lol
-
Best go and give the car a quick wash and polish

Nope, I'm just going round in circles (back to our home page) - perhaps thats what the bus was doing? -
Shame you mentioned we were interested, might have just sneaked up on the rails and grabbed it at the last minute. Any way we hadn't got round to the logistics of getting it home yet - at this stage still trying to get some interest in bidding for it. Just read their thread and Scottish Scoobies seem way more interested so sadly I see it going north
